The Operations & Industry Solutions team at Deloitte provides a dynamic environment where you will work on challenging projects, across a range of client organisations.
What will your typical day look like?
You will be working directly with clients, including senior executives, across a wide range of public sector agencies to design and drive transformational change. You will be working alongside Directors and Partners who will provide guidance, while also supporting your learning and career development.
Day-to-day you will support government agencies to improve organisational performance, enhance service delivery and deliver strategic transformation. Working as part of multidisciplinary teams spanning business, technology, data, AI and change, you will help clients move from strategy through to implementation:
- Work alongside senior public sector leaders to define future operating models, identify opportunities for improvement and develop transformational roadmaps that deliver sustainable organisational and public outcomes.
- Support the development of business cases, investment proposals and strategic options, helping clients make informed decisions on major transformation and improvement initiatives.
- Lead teams to analyse and redesign end-to-end services, business processes and operating practices, improving efficiency, effectiveness and customer outcomes.
- Lead workstreams within complex transformation programmes, supporting programme mobilisation, delivery planning, governance, stakeholder engagement and benefits realisation.
- Translate strategic priorities into practical and actionable initiatives, helping clients move from concept and design through to implementation and execution.
- Work with emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, workflow automation and data-driven insights, to identify opportunities to improve productivity and service delivery.
Qualifications
Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with:
- 4-7+ years' experience gained within professional services, central government, Crown entities, local government and/or other public sector organisations.
- Experience supporting or leading transformation initiatives, including operating model design, service design, business case development, process improvement and programme delivery.
- Proven ability to work across stakeholders, business units and delivery teams to build alignment and drive outcomes in complex environments.
- The ability to bridge business and technology perspectives, translating operational requirements into practical solutions and working effectively with both business and technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly define problems, identify root causes and develop pragmatic, actionable recommendations.
- Confidence engaging with, presenting to and influencing senior leaders and stakeholders, supported by strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with digital, data and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve organisational performance and service delivery.
