At Deloitte, you’ll do more than just join something, you’ll add something.  You’ve found a place that values your curiosity, passion, and desire to work alongside brilliant people on the things that really matter. There really is only one question: What impact do YOU want to make?

You will join the Engineering Team in Auckland.

Experience gained within a Big-4 consulting firm or an equivalent large-scale professional services environment would be an advantage, as would relevant MuleSoft and AWS certifications and prior experience delivering in a New Zealand or Australian context.

Job Description

  • Design, implement, and support customer engagement solutions using Amazon Connect and the broader AWS ecosystem.
  • Help clients modernise their contact centre capabilities through automation, AI, conversational experiences, and cloud-native architecture.
  • Work closely with clients, architects, and delivery teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Lead the deployment and optimisation of Amazon Connect capabilities including contact flows, integrations, outbound campaigns, virtual assistants, and knowledge management solutions.
  • Contribute to the adoption of emerging AI capabilities, including Amazon Q in Connect, generative AI, intelligent knowledge bases, and agent-assist technologies.
  • Design and implement integrations between cloud platforms, enterprise applications, APIs, and third-party systems.
  • Apply Infrastructure-as-Code, DevOps, and CI/CD practices to improve delivery quality and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership through solution reviews, mentoring, troubleshooting, and best-practice guidance.
  • Support the ongoing enhancement, monitoring, and optimisation of deployed solutions to ensure security, reliability, and business value.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Up to 5 years’ experience in a professional services technology environment such as Deloitte or big-4.
  • Strong hands-on experience delivering solutions with Amazon Connect and AWS services.
  • Experience working with Amazon Q in Connect, conversational AI, knowledge management platforms, chatbots, or intelligent automation solutions would be highly valued.
  • Expertise designing and implementing APIs, integrations, and distributed applications using modern cloud technologies.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps delivery practices.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services such as Lambda, EventBridge, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and related cloud-native capabilities.
  • Experience with software engineering and integration technologies including Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, containers, and event-driven architectures.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with technical and business audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical workstreams, mentor team members, and contribute to successful project delivery.
