About this team
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced and motivated ITS Infrastructure Analyst to join our Internal Technology Services (ITS) team. Supporting approximately 2,000 users across nine offices and remote workers throughout New Zealand, the ITS Infrastructure team is responsible for delivering reliable, secure, and high-performing technology services across the firm.
As an ITS Infrastructure Analyst, you will play a hands-on role across infrastructure operations, helpdesk escalations, and project delivery. Working alongside senior engineers, project teams, security specialists, and vendors, you will help maintain and enhance Deloitte’s infrastructure environment through operational support, troubleshooting, infrastructure upgrades, technology rollouts, security remediation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also gain exposure to a broad range of technologies spanning cloud, networking, virtualisation, endpoint management, monitoring, and infrastructure platforms.
Job Description
Your typical day will include:
- Supporting enterprise infrastructure environments across servers, networks, cloud platforms, and end-user technologies.
- Troubleshooting and resolving escalated infrastructure and technical support issues.
- Contributing to infrastructure upgrades, rollouts, remediation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working within ITSM frameworks, including incident, request, change, and problem management.
- Supporting security, compliance, patching, and vulnerability remediation activities.
- Maintaining accurate documentation, procedures, and support records.
- Collaborating effectively with technical teams, project teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrating strong communication, problem-solving, and ownership skills.
- Assisting with backup management, monitoring, system health checks, and software deployment activities.
- Supporting audit, risk, and compliance requirements through accurate record keeping and adherence to established processes.
Qualifications
Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with:
- 2+ years’ experience in IT support, infrastructure operations, systems administration, desktop engineering, or a related technical role.
- Experience supporting infrastructure or enterprise IT environments and maintaining operational technology services.
- Experience handling escalated technical issues from helpdesk or service desk teams.
- Exposure to infrastructure technologies including networking, servers, workstations, endpoint management, virtualisation, cloud platforms, backup solutions, and monitoring tools.
- Experience working within ITSM frameworks and ticket management processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with a willingness to learn across a broad infrastructure environment.
- Good documentation discipline, attention to detail, and a commitment to following operational processes.
- The ability to work collaboratively with senior engineers, managers, project teams, security specialists, support teams, and external vendors.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure and endpoint environments.
- Exposure to technologies such as Windows, Mac, VDI, Intune, Entra ID, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS, GCP, Aruba, Palo Alto, Cisco, and Meraki.
- Understanding of backup processes, monitoring, patching, software deployment, certificate management, and password management concepts.
- Relevant industry certifications are advantageous but not required; practical experience is equally valued.
