Asia Pacific Strategy & Enablement Senior Manager, Financial Services

  • Full-time
  • Office address: Deloitte Wellington, Level 12, 20 Customhouse Quay, Wellington
  • Department: Enabling Areas | Growth | Clients & Sectors

Company Description

Join us. But be you. At Deloitte, you’ll do more than just join something, you’ll add something.  You’ve found a place that values your curiosity, passion, and desire to work alongside brilliant people on the things that really matter. There really is only one question: What impact do YOU want to make?

As our APAC Strategy & Enablement Senior Manager, Financial Services, you’ll help Deloitte drive both our NZ and Asia Pacific Financial Services strategy into clear priorities, practical plans, and coordinated action. Working closely with senior Partners and Asia Pacific leaders, you’ll support the activity that connects our New Zealand market with regional capability, helping us respond to client priorities across banking, insurance, and the broader financial services sector.

This is a senior influence role for someone who enjoys operating across strategy execution, commercial growth, stakeholder engagement, and high-quality delivery. You’ll bring structure, judgement, and momentum to priority initiatives, helping leaders make informed decisions, align activity, and progress opportunities that matter.

Job Description

The impact you’ll make:

You’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of Deloitte’s Asia Pacific Financial Services strategy. This includes translating regional priorities into practical workplans, developing executive-level materials, analysing capability and market information, and helping shape the business case for priority initiatives.

You’ll work across our Financial Services, New Zealand and Asia Pacific teams to support market activity, priority pursuits, and senior leader engagement. Your focus will be on making sure the right people, information, materials, and actions are connected at the right time.

In this role, you will:

  • Turn our Financial Services industry priorities into clear plans, actions, updates, and decision-ready materials
  • Prepare high-quality executive papers, presentations, insights, and market-facing content
  • Support priority pursuit and client activation activity across banking, insurance, and broader financial services
  • Connect New Zealand Partners and teams with relevant Asia Pacific capability, specialists, and market insight
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and alignment gaps early, and bring practical recommendations to address them
  • Create visibility of progress, actions, and outcomes across priority Asia Pacific Financial Services activity in New Zealand

Your impact will be seen in stronger alignment across the Asia Pacific network, better visibility of priority activity in New Zealand, and more focused execution against the Financial Services opportunities that matter most to our clients and our business.

Success will depend on your commercial judgement, ability to influence senior stakeholders, and confidence working across a regional matrix environment.

Qualifications

Your expertise:

Bring your experience in strategy execution, consulting, business development, go-to-market activity, pursuit support, marketing activation, or senior enablement to see what impact you can make.

You may come from professional services, financial services, or another complex commercial environment where you have worked closely with senior stakeholders to turn priorities into action.

You’ll bring:

  • 8 plus years experience supporting strategy execution, commercial priorities, client activation, communications, or enablement activity
  • Strong financial services market understanding, ideally across banking, insurance, or broader sector themes
  • The ability to produce clear, polished, executive-level materials, including papers, presentations, updates, and insights
  • A commercial mindset, with the ability to connect strategy, capability, client relevance, and revenue opportunity
  • Strong relationship skills, with the credibility to work with Partners, senior leaders, and stakeholders across geographies
  • The ability to distil complex information, identify what matters, and bring practical recommendations
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail, and confidence managing multiple moving parts without losing sight of the outcome

You do not need to have followed one fixed career path. What matters is your ability to work with senior people, make complex information usable, and create the structure needed to move important work forward.
