Our SAP team are looking for an SAP Technical Lead to join our Wellington team (preferred) or Auckland team.
You will be joining our market leading SAP Technology Team. You will bring your deep technical experience on SAP’s modern platforms. In this role, you will be accountable for implementing, configuring, and supporting on-premises and Cloud solutions alike. Hands on experience with S/4HANA migrations, BTP solution implementation, Cloud Integration Services configuration and Cloud to On-premises integration will be advantageous. You will be responsible for collaborating closely with stakeholders, gathering and documenting requirements, and delivering enterprise-grade technology solutions for our clients.
Job Description
The impact you’ll make:
This role will have the following primary responsibilities:
- Continue to build Deloitte’s SAP marketplace eminence by providing lead consulting services to existing client-base and lead sales input to develop new opportunities
- Continue to grow Deloitte’s existing SAP BASIS capability through leadership, mentoring and coaching
- Drive business development through ownership of client relationships and engagement in pre-sales processes
- Provide lead technical delivery services on new and existing client engagements
Qualifications
Technical Leadership
- Proven experience in technical leadership roles across diverse industries
- Expertise in technical design and delivery of complex SAP landscapes
- Ability to articulate SAP Roadmaps
- Experience managing technical teams (onshore and offshore)
Project Delivery
- Strong project planning, resource management, budgeting, and risk management capability
- Demonstrated experience in project management methodologies (PRINCE2, ITIL, TOGAF)
- Familiarity with project lifecycle tools (MS Project, Excel, Jira)
Technology Expertise
- Hands-on experience with SAP technologies:
- S/4HANA (Greenfield/Brownfield implementations, selective migrations)
- Business Technology Platform
- SAP Cloud offerings (including Cloud Identity Services)
- SuccessFactors, ARIBA, Commerce Cloud
- Experience with SAP workloads on AWS & Azure, including security/network design
- Integration of SAP Cloud with on-premises systems
- 15–20 years’ experience across SAP and OS/DB combinations
Consulting & Architecture
- Ability to scope projects and align SAP architecture with business requirements
- Expertise in integrated solutions between SAP and third-party products
- Advisory capability on S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Cloud architecture, and licensing constructs
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a consulting organisation
Communication & Documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Client presentation experience and ability to run workshops
- Preparation of high-quality proposals, designs, impact assessments, and Statements of Work
