The team you’ll join

You will join our Growth Team in Auckland / Tāmaki Makaurau as a Marketing Communications Coordinator.

You will play a central role in creating engaging content, strengthening internal communication channels, and supporting high‑profile firmwide marketing campaigns. You will collaborate with subject‑matter experts, service line leaders, and content owners across the firm to bring stories to life and ensure our brand is consistently represented through every channel.

This role is pivotal in delivering clear, impactful communication, elevating our intranet and digital presence, and ensuring our people are informed, engaged, and connected to the firm’s priorities. Your work will help shape how Deloitte communicates internally and externally, contributing to a positive employee experience and a strong brand voice in the market.

Job Description

The impact you’ll make:

As a Marketing Communications Coordinator, you will play a key role in bringing Deloitte’s brand and purpose to life by supporting the Growth team in developing and delivering engaging communications and marketing material. Your typical day will include:

  • Writing, editing, and curating content for a wide range of internal and external channels, including the intranet, all-employee newsletter, digital channels, and social media.
  • Managing and updating the firm’s intranet site, ensuring daily stories and internal news reflect a balanced mix of people, client, and community content.
  • Supporting internal communications activity for key firmwide integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Assisting the Senior Communications Manager with media amplification, including compiling media lists, drafting media releases, and preparing media summaries.
  • Developing and coordinating the CEO all-employee newsletter, ensuring it is engaging, timely, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Supporting the development and delivery of Deloitte’s social media strategy, helping elevate the firm’s presence on key platforms and facilitating content distribution.
  • Providing guidance to intranet content owners across the business to ensure accuracy, alignment to tone of voice, and timely updates.
  • Participating in Growth team projects and firmwide events, acting as a trusted advisor and brand ambassador.

Qualifications

Your expertise:

Bring your strong communication skills and 2–3 years’ experience in a communications, marketing, or content-focused role to make an impact in this fast-paced and collaborative environment.

You’ll also have:

  • Experience writing for diverse audiences across multiple channels, with the ability to flex tone and style.
  • Strong content curation and storytelling skills, with a passion for uncovering engaging stories across the business.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organisation, and the ability to prioritise in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience working in a corporate or professional services environment (preferred but not required).
  • An interest in internal communications campaigns and hands-on experience supporting them.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as SharePoint, Marketo, or Sprinklr (preferred).
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to connect with colleagues across various teams and levels.
  • The ability to think both logically and creatively, bringing fresh ideas to communications and campaign activity.
  • Calmness under pressure and a proactive, self‑starting approach to managing multiple tasks.
