About the role and team
As a member of our AI and Data team you will playing an active role in delivering solutions in the area of data migration and data management. Our Partners and Directors will support your career and skills development and provide strategic direction to align company goals with personal ones.
The position works alongside our data migration leads to deliver data migration and data management projects for our clients. The best part is that you’re engaged in a variety of challenging technical environments over a range of industry verticals solving technical problems with innovative solutions. Leading by example, you will also help everyone in the team to develop new skills through a knowledge sharing environment and strive to deliver the best outcome for our clients.
Job Description
A day in the life of a Data Migration Tech Lead might look like:
- Development of the technical design, solution and technical architecture to deliver data migrations and data migration solutions
- Data modelling and data architecture design, including safe use of AI within the overall solution
- Managing the technical delivery team, ensuring high standard of delivery quality across the team
- Hands on delivery of data migration development and testing including working directly with client teams
- Support the functional build team with the technical and functional data design and data management best practice
- Support the project management activities with developing cut over plans and by doing technical impact analysis on design changes, defects etc
- Identify and define new process improvement opportunities within the data migration and data management
- Support business development activities and technical advances, as well as opportunities for use of new technology and practices with regards to data migration and data management
- Support the leadership group in building data migration capabilities within the team by supporting the use and development of tools, use of AI, recruitment of suitable resources and/or upskilling of existing team members
- Create strong relationships in market to understand the changing needs and opportunities to support our clients’ goals
- Able to support data platform delivery and development as needed
Qualifications
Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with:
- Hands-on involvement in Design, Development and architecting of large data migration projects including estimation and budget management
- Experience delivering cloud data migration to CRM or ERPs such as Oracle, Salesforce or SAP.
- Understanding and experience of data profiling, reconciliation, analysis, data cleansing, transformations, and defect management
- Very strong technical data engineering skills such as SQL, DBT, Snowflake, Databricks, Data Modelling
- Experience building data solutions on AWS, Azure or GCP
- Very strong experience with software development life cycle guidelines and software/document version controls, project management, and experience using Jira or Confluence or similar
- Enthusiasm to use new tools and methodologies to reduce cost, effort and risk of migrations and data management solutions for our clients
- Stays at the forefront of specialism through literature review, conferences, events, professional network and other relevant channels, proactively building knowledge to ensure their specialism will remain market relevant/in-demand in the future
