Our Information Technology Services team is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Tāmaki-makau-rau/Auckland office!

Deloitte’s Information Technology Services (ITS) team is at the forefront of delivering high-quality technical solutions that support our business and enable growth. We develop and manage a variety of cloud-based applications and integrations that empower our people and clients. We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our team and help design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing applications.

What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior Software Developer at Deloitte, you will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to develop innovative cloud-based solutions and integrations. In this role, you can expect to:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand needs, and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance .NET applications and cloud-based solutions.
  • Work with Azure services such as App Services, API Gateway, and Logic Apps.
  • Implement object-oriented programming principles to develop robust back-end solutions.
  • Build clean, intuitive, and functional user interfaces with end-users in mind.
  • Collaborate and Lead other developers, review code, and optimize performance.
  • Use DevOps best practices, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
  • Develop automated test cases and configure on-premise applications for migration to Azure.
  • Ensure applications are developed securely and optimized for performance within the Deloitte environment.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and suggest improvements for future development.

Qualifications

Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a full-time IT role, with expertise in software development and cloud-based solutions.
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET Core, WASM, and Blazor.
  • Experience with Azure services, including App Services, Service Bus, API Gateway, and Front Door.
  • Strong understanding of APIs (REST, SOAP) and microservices architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks.
  • Proficiency with version control (Git) and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, CI/CD automation).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
