We're looking for an experienced manager to join our Auckland-based Strategy, Risk &Transactions team within the Transaction Services offering.

As part of our team, you will join a market-leading transactions practice that offers a supportive environment and culture designed to help you achieve your career goals. Our Transactions team comprises highly skilled professionals providing extensive support in financial due diligence, M&A advisory, debt advisory, turnaround and restructuring, as well as valuations and modelling. You'll support complex client transactions by leveraging your analytical skills to offer strategic recommendations. You'll collaborate with team members, partners, and clients while also working independently. Your typical day will include:

  • Conducting in-depth financial analysis and modelling to derive insights for commercial problem-solving.
  • Assisting senior team members by drafting reports, attending client calls and meetings, and ensuring timely, on-budget delivery of work.
  • Mentoring junior team members by supporting and reviewing their work to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Building deep relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication throughout a transaction process.

Qualifications

Your expertise:

Bring your 5+ years' experience in a professional services firm, investment bank, or similar environment, with expertise in Transactions or Corporate Finance and see what impact you can make.

You'll also have:

  • Chartered accountant (CA) qualification or chartered financial analyst (CFA) designation.
  • Commercial problem solver with advanced Excel skills, adept at evaluating complex datasets to extract valuable insights.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and preparing financial documents, such as due diligence reports and client presentations.
  • Strategic thinker capable of seeing the bigger picture, identifying problems and opportunities, and developing creative solutions aligned with overarching tasks.
  • Proven project management skills, ensuring delivery within set timelines.
  • Ability to mentor and lead junior team members while collaborating effectively with the broader team on client engagements.
  • Agile and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex financial concepts and presenting findings clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
