Join forces with the Information Technology Services (ITS) team to spearhead business analysis activities across diverse programs/projects within the ITS Project Management Office (PMO). Your primary goal will be to ensure that project objectives are met promptly and with top-notch quality as per the agreed schedule.
Job Description
The impact you’ll make:
As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from the initiation through to completion. To be successful in this role you will need to develop a strong understanding of the different business units and build strong relationships with key stakeholders as well as being able to prioritise and support others to meet deadlines.
Your typical day will include:
- Oversee the project delivery process (PDP) from initiation through to closure.
- Work closely with the business to gather requirements and create user stories, story maps and process flows for projects using various project methodologies.
- Solution Design Support: Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical teams.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as liaison between business units and IT, ensuring alignment and clarity.
- Testing and Validation: Assist in user acceptance testing to confirm solutions meet requirements.
- Produce documentation and deliverables including compliance requirements.
- Keep application owners and users appropriately informed of all changes.
- Identify and execute change management processes (including the facilitation of any business readiness activities relating to projects).
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and at an expected level of quality.
Qualifications
Your expertise:

You’ll also have:
- Ideally a tertiary qualification in a related field
- 1 - 3 years in a BA or IT related role
- Demonstrated ability to create technical documentation that is clearly written, well organized, well structured, and accurate.
- Familiarity with project management documentation and processes.
- Understands Agile, Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) and SAFe methodologies.
- Solid understanding of ITIL, Planning and Program Management (PPM) standards and Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).
- Demonstrated knowledge of software and systems, such as MS Windows, MS Azure, MS Windows Server, MS SQL Server, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of standard security practices and procedures for programming, authentication, encryption, server configuration, and network configuration.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming fundamentals and techniques, as well as structured analytical, design and testing techniques.
- Knowledge of local area networks, hardware, virtualization, operating system software and cloud services.
- Good overall problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work unsupervised when required.
