Our SAP team are looking for a SAP S/4HANA Finance & Controlling Consultant to join our Wellington team (preferred) or Auckland team.

About this team: 

We are looking for a SAP S/4HANA Finance & Controlling Consultant with exceptional skills. In this role, you will be accountable for implementing, configuring, and supporting core SAP S/4HANA FICO modules. Hands on experience of FI-CA Product Costing Margin Analysis & Group Reporting would also be advantageous collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure seamless SAP integration. This position demands profound functional proficiency, robust problem-solving capabilities, and the knack for delivering top-tier solutions for our clients. 

Job Description

As a SAP S/4 HANA Finance & Controlling Senior Consultant/ Manager your typical day will include:

  • Implementation & Configuration: Configure and roll out SAP S/4HANA Finance & Controlling modules, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Drive and lead digital transformation initiatives for Deloitte’s major clients, leveraging SAP S/4HANA to meet business requirements and objectives.
  • Implement future-centric and cloud-ready solutions with a focus on clean core and vanilla principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to lead teams, manage workstreams and provide an integrated view across the function.
  • Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to define, document, and validate functional requirements.
  • Solution Design & Documentation: Translate business requirements into system configurations, craft functional specifications, and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Testing & Validation: Develop and execute test plans to ensure system integrity and compliance with business processes.
  • End-User Support & Training: Conduct training sessions, produce user guides, and assist in resolving post-implementation issues.
  • System Maintenance & Optimization: Provide support for ongoing SAP operations, address issues, and pinpoint enhancement opportunities. 

Qualifications

Your expertise: 

  • 3-5+ years of experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance & Controlling (FICO) implementation and support.
  • Profound understanding of configuration Core FICO modules preferably with experience of delivering both SAP Private and Public cloud solutions.  Experience in drafting functional specifications and collaborating closely with technical teams.
  • Consulting experience is advantageous
  • Sound grasp of SAP best practices, module integration, and system performance optimisation.
  • Preferably holds S/4HANA Finance certification.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work in an Agile and waterfall environments.
