Job Description

About the role and team 

As a member of our Artificial Intelligence & Data team you will play an active role in designing and delivering innovative solutions in Generative AI. The position is an exciting role that encompasses the full-stack, end-to-end delivery of generative artificial intelligence projects using leading foundation models. You will have a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, including solution architecting, development, and testing and evaluating AI models. This position provides the opportunity to work in various challenging technical environments across different industries and functions. As a leader in the team, your crucial role in mentoring and knowledge sharing will empower the broader team to achieve the best outcomes for our clients. A week in the life of a Consultant/Specialist - Generative AI might look like: 

  • Owning end-to-end projects in Generative AI, leading development of innovative solutions using foundation models from concept to deployment, in a fast-paced dynamic environment. 
  • Advising clients and technology leaders to understand how to gain insights, efficiencies and opportunities through implementing future-proof LLMs and other Generative AI solutions. 
  • Collaborating with cross-functional Deloitte teams to identify business requirements and develop AI solutions that meet those requirements. 
  • Applying and enhancing your expertise in prompt flow, agentic design, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and graphed systems, which are central to our approach in driving client success in technology and business transformations. 
  • Developing testing frameworks and evaluating AI models, using prompt engineering and fine-tuning strategies to optimise outputs and enhance accuracy. 
  • Maintaining a high level of continuous learning in the latest tools and processes available in market, particularly with regards to Generative AI technologies. 
  • Implementing DevOps best practice, including managing a centralised code repository and maintaining high-quality documentation. 
  • Supporting your Deloitte colleagues to make an impact that matters to your community and clients, notably providing technical guidance to junior team members. 

Qualifications

Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with: 

  • Good knowledge of Generative AI methodologies and familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, including knowledge of the latest tools and refinement approaches. 
  • Proven track record of successfully crafting end-to-end projects in Generative AI, including leveraging Cloud technology platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. 
  • Strong programming and development skills in Python and front-end languages such as JavaScript, React, or TypeScript. 
  • Experience organising and prioritising tasks, plus implementing DevOps best practices using git and related version control systems. Experience with monorepositories will be viewed favourably. 
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with an ability to lead a team while employing a kind and positive attitude. 
  • A passion for all things AI and the motivation to proactively embark on continuous learning as this area evolves.
