The ARA Treasury Team ensures day to day treasury operations specifically Middle and Back-office Operations for over 20 NZ Corporate Outsourced clients are carried out efficiently and accurately. 

Audit, Assurance & Reporting Advisory are a large team across New Zealand comprising of over 400 Accountants and senior finance professionals. Treasury is part of the storefronts of ARA.  

The Treasury team consists of 10 people in New Zealand and 3 in Australia  

The team is led by 2 Partners, Bruce Edhouse and Lesley Mitchell 

Your typical day will include:  

• Daily reconciliation between bank statements and the Clients cash position  
• Ensure all treasury deals are entered in the Clients relevant treasury system in a timely and accurate manner  
• Communication with the Clients on a day-to-day basis, advising them on any upcoming settlements  
• Alignment of the treasury system input and bank confirmation
• Monthly treasury report preparation including valuation reports 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You are someone with:  

• No previous experience is required. Part-time positions or internships in accounting, finance, customer-service, retail and hospitality are beneficial. 
• Be currently completing a bachelor's degree majoring in Accounting, Finance or Economics or any another major 
• Have an analytical mind, detail-oriented, with a passion for accounting. Experience/Exposure on Treasury Products 
• Be adaptable and driven – you understand what it's like to overcome obstacles through tenacity and hard work. You are meticulous with processes and inquisitive to solve problems.
