Job Description
Main purpose of the job
The successful candidate will support the Associate Director in delivery of services to/at client premises on delegated engagement / project and promote our leadership capabilities which are living our purpose, influence, performance drive, strategic direction and talent development. The role will provide an opportunity to help tackle complex business problems faced by Organizations through exposure in the following areas:
- Accounting and Internal Controls;
- Regulatory & Compliance Services;
- Information Technology Assurance;
- Strategic Risk; and
- Data Analytics.
The role provides exposure to working with diverse teams and clients; supports the leadership team with marketing and sourcing for new clients; scheduling jobs/ assignments and leading client planning meetings, allocation of tasks to team members, first level review of work papers, ensuring timely delivery of client reports, billing and collections.
This is also an opportunity to sharpen the candidate’s leadership, analytical and business skills while working as part of the Risk Advisory team, which is committed to helping clients build trust, resilience and security, shaping responsible businesses that can sustain and grow in an increasingly unpredictable environment.
What you will do
- Support the Associate Director on delivery of designated engagement / project, managing the implementation of the agreed deliverables;
- Manage engagement budgets through accurate budgeting, cost control and profitability management;
- Advise clients on establishing or improving end-to-end risk management systems, processes, and frameworks to enhance strategic alignment with business goals, enable effective decision making and response, and monitor regulatory compliance;
- Design data and technology-enabled business processes that enable value-adding business outcomes;
- Advise clients on solving control design issues based on industry leading practices and regulatory requirements;
- Interpret business analyses to identify underlying issues, patterns and relationships, and make data-driven targeted recommendations;
- Leverage domain expertise and industry knowledge to deliver tailored analytics solutions; and
- Any other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least a second-class honor’s bachelor’s degree in related field;
- Postgraduate qualification and/or Cisco as a Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS), Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS) or any other relevant certification is an advantage;
- Five (5) or more years of experience in external/ internal audit, Internal Controls review, risk management or related filed;
- Willingness to travel (within Uganda and across the East Africa region); and,
- Be a Ugandan Citizen.
