Job Description

To support the Senior Videographer on executing innovative videos and photographs capturing events and campaigns which differentiate Deloitte in the market.

Your day-to-day activities will include (but not limited to):

  • Professional photography of Deloitte staff and events
  • Filming and editing of video and podcasts (both new and existing) into a variety of full and/or short-form products like: video teasers, TV clips, engagement videos, corporate videos, client videos etc.
  • Capability to animate and create motion graphics.
  • Creative editing using relationship between visual and audio to create emotion, ability to craft and tell a story, ensuring the correct footage has been sourced and received, follow proper procedures in terms of purchasing stock footage
  • Recording of audio clips and pulling the audio from video footage - ensuring high quality audio files
  • Assembling recorded raw material - including camera footage, voice overs and other audio, graphics and special effects - into the appropriate finished product that is suitable for the different platforms selected/briefed in.
  • Creating rough cuts according to brief and script and finishing with grades and effective application of graphics, ensuring correct formats are adhered to
  • Preparing, editing, converting and presenting all materials in the formats required.
  • Support the strategic vision of the firm, by supporting BMCI leadership.
  • Support a variety of communications and marketing needs both internally and externally.
  • To support line manager in delivery of services to internal stakeholders on client facing projects which are relevant to area of expertise with minimum supervision.
  • Able to perform multiple tasks at the same time and being of assistance to the team.
  • The individual will need to liaise with senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Ensure seamless execution with high quality client experience.

Creative Thinking & Execution of Brand

  • Develop creative and innovative ideas and concepts, that meet the requirements of the job within brand guidelines
  • Create a visual solution that is both strategic and creative within brand guidelines.
  • Choose the appropriate media and style in the production of all collateral
  • Animate creative design identities to incorporate into video clips
  • Work within brand constraints ensuring that all work communicates the brand accurately and creatively
  • Keep updated with changes to the Deloitte brand for implementation of videos

Time and account management

  • Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Planning of jobs to ensure timelines are realistic
  • Liaising with external suppliers to get quotes and to ensure delivery deadlines are met
  • Ensure all information is included accurately on recoveries (including consumables)
  • Be flexible, a team-player and able to multi-task
  • Back up and archive jobs onto the server
  • Personal time management (punctuality)

Qualifications

  • Degree or qualification in Photography/Videography/Animation or similar
    • 3-5 years at junior level within the function
    • Or minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field, if no degree.

  • Videography (operating cameras, lighting, audio recording, 
  • Video Editing (Adobe Premiere Pro; DaVinci Resolve; After Effects; Media Encoder; motion graphics; colour-grading & correction)
  • Photography

Additional Information

  • This is a Consultant level role
  • The role is based in JHB
  • Hybrid model. You will be required to be at our offices 2-3 days per week, and willing to travel to clients.
  • Preferable start date: As soon as possible
