Job Description
Main Purpose:
We are seeking a Project Operations Manager with proven experience in engaging senior stakeholders to drive project operational efficiencies through collaboration with internal teams, oversee all aspects of project finances from proposal through to completion, and ensure team productivity and adherence to timelines by actively monitoring and addressing key performance indicators.
- Track and manage Invoices and ensure follow through, assess against budget and estimate cost at completion for project delivery
- Engage with resource planning team to ensure time is maintained and weekly tracking and variance reporting of timesheets
- Engage with Partners and Managers to ensure codes are correct
- Through reporting and analytics, ensure accurate actuals vs budget tracking and variance reconciliation, which extended to department-wide resource and financial planning
- Facilitate the process for onboarding of contractors on clients, collaborating with internal stakeholders (HR, IT, Finance, Resource planning) to ensure all is in order
- Drive operation efficiencies and reporting through stakeholders
- Identify and drive analytics and automation opportunities, extracting insights to inform ongoing decision-making and variance analysis
- Monitor resource contracts and SLAs to detect potential risks with recommendations to safeguard development deadlines against unforeseen delays, costs, and scope creep, resulting in process improvements and cost savings
Qualifications
- Relevant degree, honours or post graduate diploma
Experience Required:
- Minimum 3-5 years in strategic project operations management within the audit/professional services environment
- Knowledge and experience with SAP S4Hana is required
- Advanced excel skills is required
Technical Competencies:
- Strong analytics skills for Interpretations of analytics with recommendations
- Sound knowledge of resources planning including the onboarding/offboarding of flexible resources
- Strong stakeholder management with internal and external stakeholders with ability to drive operational efficiencies and reporting
- Ability to identify opportunities to automate processes where possible
- Financial and business acumen
Behavioural competencies:
- Ability to confidently engage with stakeholders whilst maintaining professionalism
- Capable of working autonomously, demonstrating initiative and responsibility
- Strong communication ability both written and verbal
