Job Description

To oversee and manage the payroll operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Manager will lead a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. This role also involves strategic planning, process improvement, and collaboration with other departments to enhance payroll services.

Payroll Management:

  • Guide teams through the design and implementation of payroll solutions that increase compliance and optimize organizational efficiency11
  • Plan and manage the implementation of strategic payroll solutions by combining a keen understanding of the client's business strategy, regulatory landscape, and payroll-related priorities12
  • Advise clients on complex payroll-related rules and regulations by combining technical knowledge with a strong understanding of the client's business13
  • Perform risk assessment procedures and assessments of risk of material misstatement
  • Ability to analyse complex payroll data and identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.

Strategic Impact:

  • Support the Director on delivery of designated engagement / project, managing the implementation of the agreed deliverables
  • Track outputs against Service Level Agreement and report to Director on any unforeseen issues arising
  • Seek to identify additional sales opportunities in client business
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals/tenders and presentations on request.

Project Management:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate completion. 
  • The Manager will lead a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Complete/manage teams to complete all Deloitte Client Engagement Take On Procedures and keep them up to date on an annual basis.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Payroll Qualifications.
  • At least five years working experience working with PaySpace.
  • At least 10 years’ in a professional services firm managing payroll.
  • Expertise in payroll software and systems, including advanced functionalities and customization options.
