Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Perform continuous research to keep up to date on information technology security threats trends, best security practices and standards to be able to make valuable recommendation to the business.
- Design, deploy, manage and review IT security controls to protect business information technology assets against relevant threats and cyber invasions.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential weaknesses in the IT infrastructure, perform vulnerability scanning and penetration testing to ensure system robustness. Recommend and apply patches, updates, or configurations to mitigate identified risks
- Develop and enforce IT security policies, standards, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001) and maintaining documentation of security protocols and compliance audits.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure secure system design and integration, providing security awareness training for employees to minimize human-related risks. Working with third-party vendors to ensure their systems comply with organizational security policies.
- Harden servers, networks, and endpoints by disabling unnecessary services, removing vulnerabilities, and configuring securely.
- Manage user access, permissions, and identity solutions to ensure only authorized individuals can access critical systems.
- Develop and test disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans (BCP) to ensure rapid restoration of IT services during crises.
- Perform regular security audits to verify the effectiveness of security controls.
- Generate detailed reports on security posture, incidents, and mitigation efforts for stakeholders.
- Remediate identified weaknesses and gaps from conducted periodic IT security audit by implementing required countermeasures
- Protect organizational devices, such as desktops, laptops, mobile phones, and servers.
- Support global collaboration platforms – Microsoft Team, O365 ODB, and O365 SharePoint that effectively meet business needs
- Ensure a timely resolution of all incidents and problems on supporting systems in adherence to the required SLAs
- Support and manage the Identity management system and email servers on O365 platform to promptly meet business requirements
- Participates effectively on other assigned firm-wide organizational capability initiatives for all offices to ensure success.
- Manage and support other assigned systems/applications in the sub-units.
Qualifications
- BSc/HND in electrical/electronic engineering, computer science or related discipline with minimum of Second Class Lower or Lower Credit
- Superior customer and stakeholders’ expectation management skill
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Windows OS /MS Office Applications
- Sound problem resolution, judgment and decision-making skill
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Able to work under pressure with little or no supervision
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems
- Possession of at CCNP, CISA, CISM or CISSP certifications will be required
- Minimum of 5 years post NYSC directly related work experience
