Job Description
On behalf of our client in the Infrastructure Finance Sector, Deloitte is recruiting a highly skilled and experienced Independent Non-Executive Director to provide independent judgment, experience and objectivity. The role holder will help to ensure that the relevant issues are subjected to objective and impartial consideration by the Board.
- Responsible for determining appropriate levels of remuneration for executive directors and have a prime role in appointing and where necessary removing, senior management and in succession planning
- Provide positive contributions to the effectiveness of the Company's Board of Directors by making objective observations, where appropriate, based on their independence from the day-to-day running of the Company's affairs.
- Provide counsel to the Chief Executive Officer on matters of concern to the Company.
- Monitor the performance of the Company's executive team in achieving the objectives and strategy set by the board.
- Constructively challenge and help develop proposals on strategy
- Provide, where appropriate, channels of external advice, opinion and communication to the Company's Board and Executive team;
- Promptly report any conflict of interest arising in relation to their position as an Independent Non-Executive Director to the Board
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of credit/financial advisory, project finance, private equity, investment research, consultancy, and/or debt capital markets experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in risk management including but not limited to credit risk in a similar financial institution.
- Sound understanding of debt capital markets, including guidelines and regulations governing debt securities, investment regulation, and credit transactions.
