Job Description

Check & bin all incoming stationery from suppliers.
Physically pack the shelves to ensure optimal retrieval for filling stationery requisitions.
Ensure effective packing / shelving system for optimal retrieval.
Managing stock levels on a daily basis.


Receiving requisitions and ordering stationery
Receiving requests from staff.
Accurately placing orders with suppliers.
Receiving and signing for deliveries.
Timely following up on back orders.
Anticipating what might be needed and reorder accordingly.
Effectively managing non-standard orders(frequent once-offs).
Effectively managing mega orders/demands for upcoming events at short notice.
Adapt to frequent change and unusual/non-standard requests.


Issuing stationery as per requisitions
Issue and record all stationery issued and processing of transactions on SAP.
Liaise with staff and messenger on the availability and delivery of requested items.

Administration
Initiating and keeping a sound record system
Updating price lists
Updating requisition forms
Enters item prices on to completed requisitions.
Sending and receiving faxes.
Taking proactive steps in correcting illegible and incorrect requisitions.
Maintaining a positive attitude in dealing with difficult clients.

Teamwork
Supporting in the DDI store when needed(e.g. absenteeism, leave, etc). – identifying and issuing client orders and signing for stock received.
Understands key components of the DDI store – issuing and receiving stock

Stakeholder communication
Liaising with internal clients, suppliers, print room staff, sales representatives and drivers to ensure timely, correct and effective management of orders, queries, deliveries, prices and quality printing.

Cleaning material stock management
Receiving and issuing stock to clients as required.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12

Experience

  • Previous experience in similar position
  • Experience with SAP system
