Job Description

  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential opportunities for business expansion. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decision-making. OR Conducting in-depth analysis of internal and external factors that may impact the organization’s performance, including market trends, competitor activities, and industry regulations.
  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Generate leads through various channels including networking, cold calling, and attending industry events. Develop and implement effective prospecting strategies to identify and engage potential clients/customers. OR Developing long-term strategic plans that align with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. This involves setting clear objectives, identifying key initiatives, and defining success metrics.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and uncertainties that may affect the organization’s ability to achieve its strategic objectives. Strategists develop contingency plans and mitigation strategies to address these risks.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients/customers. Understand their needs and objectives, and proactively address any issues or concerns to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Proposal Development and Presentation: Prepare compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the specific needs and requirements of prospective clients/customers. Effectively communicate the value proposition of our products/services and negotiate favorable terms and agreements.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and product development to align business development efforts with overall company objectives. Collaborate on the development of strategic initiatives and go-to-market plans. Providing strategic guidance and advice to senior leadership based on analysis and insights. Strategists help leaders make informed decisions about resource allocation, investments, and growth opportunities. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives and projects. This involves setting timelines, allocating resources, and monitoring progress towards goals.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyze key performance metrics related to business development activities. Provide regular reports and updates to management on progress towards targets and goals. OR Tracking and evaluating the performance of strategic initiatives against predefined metrics and targets. Strategists analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and make adjustments to the strategic plan as needed.
  • Adaptation: Continuously monitoring changes in the external environment and reassessing the organization’s strategic direction in response to new opportunities or threats

 

Qualifications

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and business principles.
  • Strong understanding of the Deloitte Audit & Assurance service offerings
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  •  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Display a good level and knowledge of business relationship checks for all business units/service lines of the firm and the different requirements for each.
  • Good computer literacy, with solid working experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Experience in the Phoenix (Microsoft Client Relationship Management (CRM) System) would be an advantage.
  • Ability to deal with more complex cases with less assistance from superiors.
