Job Description

Main Purpose of Job

A support resource within the Quality, Risk and Independence team assisting in delivery of standardised aspects of services to internal business especially on E Learning and all types of Confirmations.

  • Assist with the implementation of processes to ensure that Confirmations (all types) are completed on a timely basis
  • Timely, complete and accurate execution of all types of  confirmation processes and related process
  • Develop, update, and maintain systems, templates and processes and manuals
  • Liaising with various service lines and independence teams across Deloitte Africa
  • Reporting to DOI on a regular basis
  • Roll-out of communications with respect to subject matter areas in line with the communication strategy
  • Providing guidance, monitoring and supervision of those reporting into the role
  • Confirmations (all types)
  • Ensuring guidance and manuals are current at all times
  • Management of mail box relating to confirmations
  • Strong system and Excel skills

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Completed 3 year National Diploma/Degree
  • 3-4 years' experience within the function/area or similar
  • Advanced knowledge of company structures
  • Working experience in a role with exposure to risk management / due diligence
  • Some basic knowledge of the regulatory bodies (IFAC(IESBA)/SEC/PCAOB etc.)
  • High level of computer literacy across MS Office including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and Word.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in commercial/business, compliance or risk qualification or similar
  • 4 years’ experience within the function or similar
  • An appropriate level of understanding and knowledge of the DPM 1540 (Know you client:  Inquiries & Research and its appendixes); DPM 1510 (Engagement Acceptance & Risk Classification), DPM 1610 (Engagement Continuance & risk Assessment)
  • Ability to deal with more complex cases with minimal assistance from superiors.
