    Job Description

    Role Overview

    The communication consultant is part of the Brand, Marketing, and Communications team responsible for supporting all communication elements.

    • Work closely with the Internal Communication team in supporting the execution of the departments KPIs.
    • Produce content for internal and external business purposes (social media). Assisting in updating online communication platforms. This will include uploading of video content, pictures, content, etc.
    • Support with the management of internal channels: Digital screens, VIVA, Deloitte Resources pages, posters and newsletters.
    • Develop, support and implement campaigns internally.
    • Update our approach to social media and other online platforms.
    • Update schedules for internal mails, digital screens and posters.
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders.
    • Providing communication support to the broader team in the form of updating databases, formatting documents and templates and record keeping.
    • Assisting in providing support on video and social media content.
    • Management of digital screens in the respective Deloitte offices. Management includes briefs received, checking brand compliance and maintaining a calendar.
    • Providing support in the production of publication management, from sourcing and confirming information to supporting the design element and writing articles.
    • Provide support in producing post coverage reports where required.
    • The list is non-exhaustive and can require support outside the communication area where required.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in PR/Journalism/Communications/English
    • Experience working with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat
    • A good understanding of content creation. Must have the ability to write content from an initial brief, conduct research, interview, etc. and be an all-round communicator
    • One to two years’ experience in communication – preferably within a Financial Services organisation
    • Experience in drafting different mediums of content for different platforms including social media
    • The ability to work with people across different levels within the organisation
    • The ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Additional Information

    • This is a Consultant level role
    • The role is based in JHB
    • Hybrid work model. You will be required to be at our offices 2-3 days per week
    •  Willing to travel to clients (where required)
    • Preferable start date: As soon as possible
