Job Description

  • Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade Firms networks
  • Configuring security systems, analysing security requirements, and recommending improvements
  • Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems
  • Ensuring that firewall systems are patched with the latest’s security updates
  • Updating software with the latest security patches and ensuring the proper defences are present for each network resource
  • Performing vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats, and developing disaster recovery plans
  • Enforcing, monitoring and reporting to the IT Manager on the security status of systems, in accordance with established policies and standards
  • Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
  • Support and administer third-party applications
  • Ensure network security and connectivity
  • Actively responding to web and publishing related security incidents
  • Resolve problems reported by end user

Qualifications

  • BSc Computer Science, Information, cyber security or related field
  • 5 years of networking and security experience, or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position
  • Operational knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and application virtualization
  • Operational knowledge of network and routing protocol
  • Operational knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on servers, computers and peripheral equipment
  • A strong understanding and knowledge of computer, network, and security systems.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
