The A&AS team is a multi-disciplinary group comprised of actuaries, data scientists, chartered accountants and modelling specialists who specialise in providing unique solutions that extends across numerous industries. Job Description

Main Purpose of the role

The main purpose of this role is to consult within the Assurance and Analytics space and deliver service to / at client premises on delegated engagements and projects.  You will use a combination of industry knowledge, tools and technology to create solutions for client problems. This role has an Audit focus but also requires the ability to apply such skills to non-audit clients. 

Preliminary Analysis and Data Exploration

  • Conduct analysis to understand client’s business, determine and prioritise client needs and identify opportunities for business enhancement
  • Carry out research, data collection and conduct appropriate analysis to derive valuable insights for client needs
  • Preparation and exploration of client data including statistical analyses

Data Analytics and Modelling

  • Build and implement models for a variety of purposes using a wide range of tools and applications
  • Assist with analytical and data science modelling for specific client requirements
  • Carry out analytical and statistical exercises such as customer segmentation analysis,  business campaign investigations, activity-based costing, financial modelling etc.
  • Assist with the development of BI reporting dashboards
  • Automation of manual client processes

Management

  • Support management in the sales process and delivery of projects
  • Compile client reports, marketing documentation and presentations using Word and PowerPoint.
  • Work, interact and communicate with clients
  • Contribute to business development as well a suggest new service offerings
  • Develop junior team members

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience required

  • CA (SA)
  • Experience using the suite of Microsoft Office software (specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Experience using relevant analytics platforms would be an advantage (SAS, SQL, Python, Power BI)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management

Experience

Completed 3 years of articles as an Audit Trainee 

Desire to develop your career within an Analytics Consulting/Advisory environment

Additional Information

  • Seeking individuals that have a passion for analytics and wanting a career in Analytical space
  • Individual will be required to expand their skillset to appropriate programming languages such as SQL, SAS, etc.
