About the Division:
Deloitte’s Actuarial & Insurance Solutions (AIS) practice is a multi-disciplinary group with a primary focus on the insurance and financial services industry. Our AIS practice provides comprehensive actuarial, risk management, and advanced analytics services for Life and P&C insurance companies, reinsurance companies, pension plans, captives, and other organizations.
Job Description
Main Purpose of Job:
Our Cape Town office is looking for an experienced Actuarial Manager to support the Leadership Team in the delivery of services to / at client premises on delegated engagement / project. There will be a strong focus on developing and providing IFRS17 based solutions for our clients.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Fellow Member of the Actuarial Society of South Africa or equivalent – Manager / Senior Manager
- Associate Member of the Actuarial Society of South Africa or equivalent – Senior Analyst / Assistant Manager
Minimum Experience
- Minimum 4-6 years relevant working experience
- Majority of working experience in the Life Insurance actuarial domain, preferably on a wide range of life insurance products
- Strong actuarial valuation experience
- Strong experience of capital and solvency calculations, reserving and reinsurance will be advantageous
- Specific experience in IFRS17 will be an advantage
- Proven ability to manage and direct the work of junior team members
- Strong analytical and modelling capabilities
- Pricing experience/knowledge will be an advantage
