Job Description
We are looking for suitably qualified, self-driven individuals to join our Tax Technology Consulting team in the following capacities:
Front End Developer
- Application Development: Architect, build, and maintain high-quality React Native applications.
- API Collaboration: Collaborate with backend developers to define API contracts and utilize them effectively within the app.
- Code Quality Assurance: Ensure ongoing code quality through automated unit and integration testing.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with UX designers, architects, and developers to implement full-stack solutions.
- Agile Environment: Participate in an Agile Scrum team, designing and developing scalable applications using open-source technologies.
- Technology Research: Continuously discover and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency.
- Feature Development: Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, fix bugs, and improve application performance.
- Third-party Integration: Integrate third-party data sources and APIs.
Back End Developer
- Build APIs, manage routing, and specify the business logic for the application in server-side code that handles incoming HTTP requests and generates responses.
- Develop APIs to help in front- and back-end communication.
- Design API endpoints, manage data validation, and ensure security are all taken care of.
- Connect the application to SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Implement security best practices to identify and fix security flaws like SQL injection and cross-site scripting (XSS) to safeguard against common threats.
- Implement logging tools to monitor the performance and behavior of the applications.
- Put user authentication and authorization systems in place to protect the back-end services.
Qualifications
- Possess a bachelor’s degree (B.Sc., B.A., B.Eng./B.Tech., etc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in any discipline with a minimum of second class upper/upper credit division.
- Have a minimum of five credits in WASSCE Ordinary Level/NECO subjects or acceptable equivalent examination, including Mathematics and English Language in one sitting only.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of React Native libraries, components, and frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, such as Kubernetes, containerization, microservices, and software-defined infrastructure.
- Ability to deliver results on time and take responsibility for a project’s successful outcome.
- Solid understanding of HTML, Python, Java script, Node.js, React, SQL / MongoDB, and NoSQL.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced MS Office skills (particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Good interpersonal skills.
