Deloitte would like to hire energetic and qualified candidates for the position of Econimist tenable at our Blantyre and Lilongwe offices.
Job Description
- Support the Manager on delivery of designated engagement / project, managing the implementation of the agreed deliverables.
- Assist in undertaking functional analysis and economic (financial) analysis of enterprises as a critical component of developing transfer pricing policy models for a wide array of Deloitte clients in line with both local and international standards.
- Deliver client service according to relevant Deloitte standards, policies and ethical principles.
- Proactively manage client issues and expectations.
- Research on economic, industry and market conditions to gain a deeper understanding of the client’s situation and needs.
- Prepare proposals and project budgets.
- Liaise with officers from the Malawi Revenue Authority and other government agencies in connection with client engagements.
- Periodically participate in other tax assignments for the Tax & Legal service line.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university with excellent academic result, majoring in either Economics or Finance.
