Deloitte would like to hire energetic and qualified candidates for the position of Tax Consultant tenable at our Blantyre and Lilongwe offices.

• Review of clients’ draft tax computations and preparation of tax returns for submission to Malawi Revenue Authority.
• Handle day-to-day correspondence with client contacts
• Take up tax compliance assignments as may be requested by clients.
• Assist clients with correspondence to and from the Malawi Revenue Authority.
• Give advice on the operations by clients of various tax schemes such as VAT, FBT, PAYE etc.
• Give advice on tax planning, including drafting reports.
• Assist in resolving tax issues clients may have with Malawi Revenue Authority.
• Process clients’ tax appeals.

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any Business related field.

• One year work experience would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of the tax systems in Malawi.
• Computer literate with competence in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
• Communication, organizational and team player skills.
• Report drafting skills.
• High level of personal integrity.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Aged 23 to 30 years.
