Africa Talent by Deloitte (Africa Talent) is a separate legal entity based in South Africa and was formed between Deloitte Africa and Deloitte Netherlands in order to meet the growing demand for Talent in Africa and Europe; and to establish a competency centre that can compete with other delivery centres in India and beyond. While incorporated in South Africa, the goal is to recruit and develop Talent throughout Sub Saharan Africa in order to service the diverse needs to enable projects at our clients. Talent employed, will have the full experience of Deloitte, while getting both local and international exposure to a diverse set of clients, working remotely from Africa. Job Description
- responsible for installing OS and/or updates;
- responsible for installing applications and/or updates;
- ensure that certificates remain up-to-date by requesting and installing new ones in a timely manner;
- checking and, where necessary, restoring backups;
- acting on incidents and reports;
- monitoring the environment through Health Monitoring.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux OS admin and maintenance.
- Hypervisor maintenance (VMWare Cloud Director).
- Networking (VMWare NSX-T).
- VM backup software (Veeam), DNS (InfoBlox).
- Experience with creating new machines VM management.
- Basic knowledge of networks and protocols such as DNS and experience in managing client-server and web-based applications. Experience with Ansible is an advantage.
- Basic ITIL knowledge preferred.
Qualifications
- minimum community college (MBO) or Junior college education equivalent
- experience of VMWare in general and in particular of Cloud Director and NSX-T;
- experience with both Windows and Linux;
- availability to possibly run a 24/7 service;
- able to work both independently and in a team;
- a good command of the English language in speaking and writing.
