Job Description
What impact will you make?
The Asset Engineering (AE) team, that consists of ~45 employees with mainly experts in new technology, is responsible for building digital solutions for Deloitte Netherlands. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working on the development of these products within the Asset Engineering team. These products are built using a modern technology stack and delivered as SaaS to the largest companies globally. Depending on your expertise and interest, you will develop innovative software or improve and secure the infrastructure running all these solutions.
How do you do this?
As Senior Software Engineer, you will be actively involved in the development of software products in collaboration with a team of developers. You are passionate about technology and eager to further expand your expertise and skills, as well as sharing your knowledge and expertise with your colleagues. An ideal candidate for this role will have a blend of development and/or operational experience that provides him or her with a good understanding of modern infrastructure and development. In addition, the individual will be expected to:
- design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions using Python or .NET;
- engineer and secure the infrastructure that runs our products;
- write clean, well-documented, and efficient code that adheres to industry best practices;
- keep up to date with the latest technology trends;
- grow your own expertise by contributing to both mature codebases and greenfield projects;
- work together with brilliant tech-savvy colleagues who enjoy helping you grow;
Qualifications

With your personal strengths, view of the world and unique personality. You need at least 4 years of work experience and the following qualifications for the position of Senior Software Engineer:
- have a Bachelor or Master degree in Software Engineering or a related direction;
- love technology and enjoy using it to accomplish your goals;
- are highly motivated to dive deeper into the Software Engineering world and become a great engineer;
- know your tools and can use them to accomplish your technical tasks fast;
- strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams;
- strong software engineering knowledge (Python is preferred, Django is nice to have);
- affinity with developing data heavy solutions;
- experience with cloud technologies (Azure is preferred, Kubernetes is nice to have);
- experience with CI/CD (Azure Pipelines is preferred);
- used to working agile (Azure DevOps and Scrum);
