Job Description

Main Purpose of Job

 

Supports Engagement Manager in delivery of services to / at client premises on delegated engagement / project.  Focus on the delivery of client engagements and shares knowledge and experience with others. Understands objectives for clients and aligns own work to objectives.

Leads Development and Implementation of Cyber Security Solutions:

 

  • Ability to analyze the client’s cyber security infrastructures to enable targeted and data-driven enhancements
  • Keeps in mind the client’s business needs when developing assessment frameworks to ensure effective, targeted, and actionable analyses
  • Applies multiple security testing methodologies and techniques to assess client’s security infrastructures and identify / evaluate vulnerabilities
  • Conducts complex business process assessments to help clients identify, analyze, and prioritize gaps and risks; applies findings to make recommended upgrades aligned to the overall strategy
  • Gathers data and determines priority criteria to build an integrated roadmap that addresses all facets of an implementation
  • Assesses cyber security policies and procedures to analyze compliance with regulatory requirements and evaluate overall operational efficiency; provides clients with mitigating solutions
  • Tests the effectiveness of client’s cyber security technologies to identify and articulate opportunities for improvement across the digital, physical, and social elements of the client
  • Understands and applies cyber threat intelligence and profiling to the design and assessment of client systems
  • Enables sustainability and continuous improvement of cyber security solutions by assessing and enhancing client’s cyber security governance infrastructures
  • Is proficient with multiple domain-specific cyber security technology solutions and is able to effectively integrate them to meet and exceed client’s needs
  • Mentor, and support Junior Team members in career development
  • Raise issues with manager as identified in area of focus that may affect the quality of delivery or timelines of the engagement 
  • Identify opportunities for follow-on work and work with management to win the business
  • Assist in development of client presentations / discussion documentation
  • Maintain quality and timeous delivery as per SLA

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Degree Postgraduate qualification (relevant to Service Area / Business Management, etc.)
  • BCom Degree, Risk Management, Sustainability, Disaster Management, etc.
  • Certifications: one or more required
  • CISSP, CCNA and CCNP
  • Security domain, such as CISA, CRISC
  • Technical certifications e.g. MCSE, MCITP, MCTS, CCNP, CCNA, CCiE
  • Certifications from leading vendors: e.g. Symantec, Sophos, and Microsoft

Experience:

  • 5-7 years’ working experience in cyber security, with at least 4 years in a client-facing consulting environment.

Technical Competencies

  • Technical expert in specific area and/or industry
  • Demonstrated project management skill
  • Consulting skills
  • Experience in drafting and presenting to clients
  • Good report writing skills
  • Sound financial knowledge and understanding
  • Business acumen

Specialised Competencies

  • Proficient with multiple domain-specific cyber security technology solutions and is able to effectively integrate them to meet and exceed client’s needs
