Work you'll do

The Delivery Excellence Methods & Tools team, drives capability-building efforts and enables delivery consistency to improve both the client and practitioner experience by activating, enabling and supporting standard delivery approaches and tools across the Africa Consulting network.

You will work closely with key stakeholders from across the globe and continent to lead and drive the deployment of the CMT global priorities in the Africa member firm, working with the offerings methods and tools leads and sponsors in order to have roll out plans, aligned with the global and local priorities.

Job Description

  • Provide guidance and support to Deloitte Consulting Africa teams’ initiatives and operations
  • Provide coaching services for key proposals and projects in the region, teaming up when required with the local or global teams
  • Drive and support the offerings in their journey to establish and/or evolve their own CMT processes, in order to improve their sales and delivery capabilities working collaboratively with the Africa CMT sponsors, leads and the offerings coaches
  • Developing proficiency in Deloitte’s enterprise tools and confidently train practitioners and engagements teams on how to use them
  • Support the planning and deployment of the global M&T priorities across Consulting
  • Own, plan, and manage key projects or initiatives on methods and tools deployment with a regional scope, which may include collaboration and coordination with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate solid project management skills, with the ability to seamlessly co-ordinate, lead or participate in different projects
  • Working with the Global coaches to be in alignment and to collaborate with other M&T support and coaching teams
  • Advise and provide feedback on training content development and end to end execution of trainings related to methods and tools / agile.
  • Support to establish / refine solution deployment strategy and priorities; work with member firm leadership to execute strategy
  • Support creation and execution of communication plans related to methods and tools at the member firm level
  • Report member firm status to Global Delivery Excellence and member firm leadership
  • Create and/or maintain close relationships with the MF sponsors, leads and local teams in Africa to become their “trusted advisor”
  • Support operational needs of the Delivery Excellence CoE team and community, including contributing to developing team resources, and generally helping to grow a high-performing team
  • Actively share best practices among Local, Global and EMEA team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience working in a matrixed multi-national or global organisation; Masters' a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in roles that require strong program/project management, coaching and client relations experience
  • Professional certifications: PMP, CSM, SAFe Agilist, SAFe SPC, SAFe RTE a plus
  • SAP delivery experience desirable
  • Experience leading consulting projects, preferably technology enabled implementation projects and/or enterprise transformation projects
  • Prior experience delivering large scale enterprise transformation projects
  • Strong knowledge on MSP and exposure to project management tools: JIRA, PMC, ALM Octane etc.
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Experience in team leadership activities including recruiting, performance management, and coaching
  • Excellent core consulting skills – i.e. analysis, research, synthesis, modelling, presentation, including logical structuring and storytelling, superior knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, verbal and written communication skills and experience, training, communicating to, and working with, virtual teams, and senior stakeholders
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, responsiveness, and strong track record of executing high-impact initiatives
