What impact will you make?

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and inspiring leader to drive the strategy of Deloitte Placements forward. The role will report directly into the Africa Audit and Assurance Managing Partner and COO and will be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Main Responsibilities

The Business Unit Leader within Deloitte Placements will be accountable to the Audit and Assurance Executive for the following:

  • Formulating and executing the growth strategy of Deloitte Placements
  • Drive the responsible business narrative
  • Develop and implementing hiring strategies that attract a diverse workforce
  • Broadening the talent pool to go beyond South Africa, encompassing other geographies within Africa
  • Setting and driving a cohesive and inclusive culture aligned with our shared values
  • Retention of Talent, including the onboarding, learning and performance review of staff
  • Overall resource management including culture, alignment and delivering on the employee value proposition
  • Implementation of the Audit and Assurance bold play strategy
  • Marketing Deloitte Placements to the broader Deloitte globally, as well as third party clients.
  • Financial reporting including preparing budgets, cash flow forecasts and monitoring actual performance
  • Communicate with Deloitte Member Firms and 3rd party Audit firms to gain insights into their forecast needs for talent, as well as assess the overall experience with Deloitte Talent in respect of quality and responsiveness
  • Serving as the ongoing point of contact to all clients.
  • Monitoring the productivity of Talent within the centre
  • Setting of overall pricing structure within Deloitte Placements.
  • Submission of various legislative returns
  • Establishing and co-ordinating various functions including finance, HR, legal and IT
  • Contracting requirements per specific engagement with the respective clients.

Qualifications

Qualifications

CA (SA) / MBA or Relevant Commercial qualification

Minimum Experience

  • 6+ years related working experience; demonstrated capability in developing and growing a portfolio of business and generating revenue within a global organisation
  • Analytics experience in business development and leading delivery of solutions across the Talent spectrum to address business requirements.
  • Proven track record in sales, client delivery and business growth
  • Proven track record success in a Leadership role at a professional services or global consulting organisation
  • Running a team or group including P&L, or market offering.
  • Lead executive-level meetings, discussions, and best practices development.
  • Board and executive level experience.
  • Prior auditing experience would be an added advantage

Desired Experience

  • 8+ years relevant experience working in a Talent Leadership or client facing role; Business development / market making experience is essential; Prior experience in auditing is advantageous
