Job Description

Main Purpose of Job

Deliver to the People & Purpose mandate and strategy in the Region. To work proactively with the Senior HR Business Partner and Regional Leader/s to shape and implement the talent strategy for the region/s, by supporting the conceptualisation, development and execution of talent strategies and core projects, through recommendations and insights on business strategy, industry and market trends and HR best practise. Ensure that relevant national and regional programmes and initiatives are in place, developed and implemented, thereby creating and supporting a distinctive and consistent Talent and Employee Experience across the region. Management and support of the full HR Employee Lifecycle. In addition, to ensure that the People and Purpose team delivers a high quality, consistent, integrated and seamless service which is aligned with the service line/regional business and talent strategies.

Operational Excellence: -

  • Management and support over all standard processes, including onboarding, hires/terminations, probations, reporting and analytics, bi/annual reviews, compensation/bonus processes, talent and business reviews and talent boards, data integrity, payroll-interface, governance and analytics, transfers, maternity, job descriptions/grading, long service, retirements, etc.
  • Contractor / flexible workforce management
  • Ensure continuous collaboration between HRBP team, Talent Acquisition & Learning teams to identify efficiencies and process innovations towards an enhanced employee experience.

Risk Management: -

  • Ownership of end-to-end process - Execution and support to team/clients (IR - Disciplinary matters, Poor Performance, Incapacity, Grievance, Deloitte Speak-up etc)
  • Custodian of firms Policies and Procedures.
  • SAICA governance and due diligence in support to the Trainee Programme and Audit & Assurance Service Line.

Projects:

  • Ownership of Regional team projects / People Plan Portfolios and shared goals as aligned with the Senior HR Manager and Regional Talent Strategy
  • Collaboration and Support on National Service Line Projects as applicable, and in support to the National SL strategy and/or broader People and Purpose mandate.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Honours Degree in Human Resources or business management

Desired Qualifications

Postgraduate qualification (relevant to Service Area / Business Management, etc.)

Minimum Experience

7 years working experience within the relevant function, of which 2 years at Manager level.

Desired Experience

A minimum of 2 years at Manager level within the function
