About Africa Talent

Africa Talent by Deloitte (Africa Talent) is a separate legal entity based in South Africa and was formed between Deloitte Africa and Deloitte Netherlands in order to meet the growing demand for Talent in Africa and Europe; and to establish a competency centre that can compete with other delivery centres in India and beyond. While incorporated in South Africa, the goal is to recruit and develop Talent throughout Sub Saharan Africa in order to service the diverse needs to enable projects at our clients. Talent employed, will have the full experience of Deloitte, while getting both local and international exposure to a diverse set of clients, working remotely from Africa.  It will take advantage of the demographic reality of Africa as a future source of talent for both Africa and Europe and at its core is the goal to create employment in Africa and invest in African talent.

Job Description

Main Purpose of Job

To build a sustainable and mutually beneficial Talent Relationship with the Africa Talent Clients through the provision of Top Talent as well as Talent Intelligence.

Key Performance Areas

·       Ensure that you become a trusted Talent Advisor within the Business through comprehensive communication and relationship development with key stakeholders.

·       Support the Talent team within Africa Talent 

·       Full accountability and ownership for the entire recruitment process within Africa Talent, this includes adherence to policies and procedures.

·       Building talent pools and industry related talent maps.

·       Sourcing / headhunting by utilising LinkedIn Recruiter and other platforms (Boolean searches etc.)

·       Through Talent Intelligence and Initiatives ensure that you are able to strategically and proactively identify and build relationships with talent pools.

·       Ensure that you are consciously and actively marketing Africa Talent, through a variety of mediums and channels, this includes but is not limited to social media and networking.

·       Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to the recruitment process and the reporting thereof.

 

Strategic Impact

·       Supports leadership in the delivery of services to clients in line with the defined strategic objectives:

o    Provides support to management in the implementation of change initiatives

o    Works with team to complete work by set deadlines advising manager of any issues prior to deadlines

·       Develops relationships with peer group within Africa Talent to understand our business and develops an understanding of the various skills required by each Africa Talent client.

·       Raises effective solutions to address issues in area of expertise that may enhance / renew service offerings to client

·       Independently delivers quality work within area of expertise, within deadlines

·       Provides client/s with sound professional advice and support on issues arising within area of expertise without reference to superior

·       Applies solutions to technical issues that arise within area of expertise, with minimal input from management

·       Communicates regularly with both line manager and client to meet deliverable expectations in specific area of expertise

·       Proactively identifies technical problems that arise that may affect delivery and propose resolutions to address these.

·       Provides line manager with detailed reporting on status of deliverables on a regular basis.

·       Manages risk in area of engagement in alignment with Deloitte policies and processes.

·       Reviews own work prior to submission to ensure quality and provide guidance to junior team members on quality standards.

·       Shares expertise and knowledge with team members.

·       Coaches / mentors junior team members of the team.

·       May act as counsellor to junior staff within Africa Talent.
