Job Description

The purpose of this role is to support Audit Project Management teams, as part of our Skills/Graduate Academy to deliver an efficient project management service to clients with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.  The incumbent to the role will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Supporting Audit Project Management teams with project management assistant (PMA), including some key activities of managing a project like creating a project plan, tracking progress, managing change and risk, and resource management.
  • Supporting teams across the audit project management engagement lifecycle through performing standard project management assistant tasks in work packages and providing a range of support services to reduce the levels of administrative work placed on audit project manager practitioners.
  • Supporting more efficient and cost-effective working practices, whilst improving quality standards.
  • Team player that will contribute to developing best practice and be key in driving continuous improvement within the practice.

Qualifications

  • BCom (Accounting) Degree or BCom (Accounting) Hons or equivalent with a view to becoming an AGA (SA) or CA (SA)

  • 3 years’ working experience within the relevant function

  • 2 years at Consultant level within the function

Technical Competencies

  • Technical expert in specific functional area
  • Demonstrated capability in interaction at all levels, briefing, analysis and project management skills
  • Experience in drafting and delivering presentations
  • Good report writing skills
  • Sound financial knowledge and understanding
