Accounting Operations Advisory (AOA) services recognize that leaders need a partner they can work collaboratively with to evaluate their people, processes, infrastructure & controls, and to deliver practical and pragmatic solutions to address increasing demands, existing inefficiencies, and impacts of new technologies, while ensuring Finance remains honest to its core activities.

Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA)

Regulatory, technological, and business complexities are driving finance and accounting teams to re-evaluate their accounting policies, processes, controls, and systems.

Sound decision making is reliant on balanced and stakeholder focussed corporate reporting.

Job Description

About The Role

  • Proactive involvement in business process development and improvement in Finance and Accounts Payable service lines  
  • Staff Expense Management as well as AP Invoice Processing enablement initiatives including implementation/maintenance/support of SAP Concur
  • Conduct business needs analysis and identify key business challenges
  • Analyzing authorization and approval business processes and workflows for the Staff Expense Management Process and AP Invoice Management Process
  • Exposure to or understanding of the SAP Concur product suite and functionality is a bonus
  • Gathering functional and business requirements from clients and translating them into SAP Concur project scope items and deliverables
  • Identify improvement opportunities to achieve clients’ desired business outcomes
  • Assist in defining ‘To-Be’ stage of processes, solution application requirement and performance measurements
  • Develop deployment/enablement strategy, roadmap and plan to achieve ‘To-Be’ stage effectively
  • Manage/conduct deployment activities and measure achievement of desired outcomes
  • Proactive involvement in change for large scale multi-site, and other related transformational change efforts, including but not limited to efficiency and effectiveness initiatives; organizational restructurings; organizational capabilities development
  • Support team with build of opportunity pipeline and proposals to clients
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, as well as the ability to work independently
  • Ability to be strategic and creative while remaining detail-oriented and process-focused

We’re looking for someone with some or more of the following attributes:

  • A recognized bachelor’s degree qualification, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a professional services firm
  • Business Analyst/Project Management experience in the IT domain is an advantage
  • Bonus: Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of SAP Concur modules with experience in implementation/maintenance/support of SAP Concur solutions and proficiency in Expense, Invoice and Request.
  • Bonus: Experience with one or more SAP Concur implementations or SAP Concur support
  • Experience in leading or supporting project kick-offs, analysis & design phases during a project, supporting a client after a project go-live
  • Creating and delivering functional requirements documentation in a client-facing role
  • Identifying optimal configuration options to meet client requirements within the project scope
  • Experience in data migration & testing; go live and deployment; post go live transition & training
  • Bonus: SAP Concur CIP certification or similar certification
