Job Description

Main Purpose of Job

Responsible for the Functional support tasks of the SAP modules in the ERP Centre of Excellence Function.   To assist in user support, Finance projects and new scope item management for the SAP ERP solution.

  • Support Finance, Procurement, Blackline and Budgeting and Forecasting solutions

  • Monitor and manage all error logs on the system (finance modules
  • Performing User Acceptance testing
  • Resolving UAT queries
  • Preparing Test Scripts
  • Conducting Integration testing with other Modules
  • Perform regression testing for new Release Upgrades
  • Builds business relationships with clients
  • Understands Business requirements and business issues
  • Performing Adhoc data and process audits
  • Reviewing processes to ensure efficiencies
  • Review Error logs
  • Resolve error logs
  • Escalate to senior consultant if cannot resolve
  • Conducting adhoc data quality audits on specific areas
  • Notification of issues to the SAP Senior Consultant
  • Conducting Monthly checks on all aspects of data
  • Review of Error logs and recommendations
  • Notification of issues to the Senior Consultant
  • Use Technical development skills to update functionality in SAP and activate new scope items
  • Liaise with SAP on New scope modules
  • Liaise with Business to test and do a change control for Production
  • Log a call on Service Now
  • Make sure all artefacts are attached to the call
  • Get Business Process owner approval
  • Attach all test scripts
  • Make the changes to production
  • Set up the templates for Finance for the budget and forecast process
  •  Work with other SAP CoE team to resolve queries

Conducting ERP Module training when requested

Assisting the ERP Senior Consultant on SAP training

Perform Research on New Scope items and Innovation of new RPA (Robotics and Digital insights)

  • Review articles on SAP websites
  • Attend SAP Webinars
  • Be involved in Value realisation workshops with SAP experts and Business Process owners (senior level
  • Uses information through research, documentation, standard processes, provide output for assimilation into the engagement deliverables
  • Raises ideas to address issues in area of expertise that may enhance / renew service offerings to client

  Project work – Unit Testing for the project    

  • Attend project status update calls
  • Attend project workshops
  • Perform testing on the solution to ensure aligned to business requirements
  • Communicates regularly with Project Manager and team members on status of own deliverable.    

Problem Solving

  • Evaluates the nature and complexity of problems dealt with in the job and information as well as alternative solutions that can be applied
  • Needs to look at all possible options to resolve complex issues

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree (3 years) or National Diploma in IT related course, Previous SAP experience, background in Finance with business or IT

Desired Qualifications

Educational Qualifications

  •  The stated minimum qualifications plus an understanding of the IT environment

Minimum Experience

  • At least two years IT experience and 3 years Functional knowledge in at least 1 key module of SAP ERP such as Finance, Procurement or Engagement Management.  Knowledge in the specific Process Area

Desired Experience

  • At least four years IT experience, 3 years working knowledge of the business
