Africa Talent by Deloitte (Africa Talent) is a separate legal entity based in South Africa and was formed between Deloitte Africa and Deloitte Netherlands in order to meet the growing demand for Talent in Africa and Europe; and to establish a competency centre that can compete with other delivery centres in India and beyond. While incorporated in South Africa, the goal is to recruit and develop Talent throughout Sub Saharan Africa in order to service the diverse needs to enable projects at our clients. Job Description

As a Junior Manager in Financial Risk Analytics & Reporting, you understand the challenges that Financial Institutions and other Companies face regarding regulatory reporting and relevant data solutions. The value of your role comes from connecting the two. You have an interest in creating transparency in the laws and regulations, underlying risks and reporting obligations for the financial sector. You think along on setting up the strategy and the execution of the underlying activities while implementing the new and modified financial reports. Moreover, you will be helping our Clients to transform into Data-driven Organizations with optimal business processes. You have a creative approach in presenting your findings and you help with the practical implementation within different departments of the Organization. Within projects, you work with people from various disciplines such as Finance, Risk Management, Data Analytics, Reporting an Sustainability. You understand their language. 

You are a Professional with 4-6 years of working experience. You bring in academic knowledge, previous work experience and the soft skills needed to be part of an assignment. You will focus on continuous improvement of your skillset and the quality of your work. You have the ambition to grow in your field of expertise. Internally, you also have a significant content contribution in the development of proposals and other deliverables. You are also experienced with guiding Junior Colleagues and leading a small Project or Team. You get energized from working in a diverse Team with different cultures and backgrounds, as well as a broad range of expertise and interests!

Qualifications

• A completed Master’s degree in the field of: (Technical) Business Administration, Information Science, Econometrics, Economics, Accounting or any other relevant study and this will be your next career step

• A minimum of 4-6 years relevant work experience in the financial services reporting domain   

• Experience with guiding Junior Colleagues and managing small Projects and/or (Agile) Teams

• You have affinity with analytics, data management, risk management and regulatory reporting. Furthermore, you are eager to start learning how the financial sector can continuously develop and prepare itself for a sustainable future

• You have great analytical skills and you pay attention to detail 

• You are self-reliant and proactive: this means you can both work independently and reach out when in need of help; 

• Strong communication skills (excellent command of the English language, Dutch is an advantage)
