Africa Talent by Deloitte (Africa Talent) is a separate legal entity based in South Africa and was formed between Deloitte Africa and Deloitte Netherlands in order to meet the growing demand for Talent in Africa and Europe; and to establish a competency centre that can compete with other delivery centres in India and beyond. While incorporated in South Africa, the goal is to recruit and develop Talent throughout Sub Saharan Africa in order to service the diverse needs to enable projects at our clients. Talent employed, will have the full experience of Deloitte, while getting both local and international exposure to a diverse set of clients, working remotely from Africa.  It will take advantage of the demographic reality of Africa as a future source of talent for both Africa and Europe and at its core is the goal to create employment in Africa and invest in African talent.
 

Job Description

•Operational management of a team of (Senior) Management Support Assistants. Mainly focuses on team composition, recruitment & selection, content of the duties, and quality and process monitoring

•Streamlining and keeping up to date efficient (possibly automated) uniform operating methods and processes and actively suggesting and implementing improvements (to the process) for the quality and efficiency of (cross-departmental) processes and operating methods

•Providing technical support to the team, thus safeguarding the internal quality standards

•Ensuring the correct implementation of the Performance Experience (SA process) for the own team. In this role, the Team Lead has the dual role of Team Lead and Career Coach and encourages continuous development and training of the team members

•Ensuring the implementation of BS&O guidelines, realizing established KPIs and quality goals laid down in the Management Support Service Catalog

•Contributing ideas to the departmental vision, both requested and unrequested, and translating them to the operational plan in respect of the content and design of the services provided by the team

Additional

•Participating in projects, both within Management Support and across BS&O, to enhance the mutual collaboration and enhance work-process efficiency and effectiveness

•Managing and implementing sub-projects and project work, analysing the results and providing advice in support of the Management Support policy and processes, including reports and project budgets

•Being the technical go-to person for colleagues

Qualifications

•Professional and intellectual ability at higher vocational education level

•8 years and above of work experience, management experience is required

•Management experience and coaching skills, in connection with being able to manage a team or project team

•Advisory skills aimed at reaching agreement

•Focused on collaborating with the various stakeholders and being able to communicate effectively at various levels

•Accuracy and analytical skills
