Job Description
The main purpose of the job is to lead the Service Area through driving and implementation of strategy, revenue generation and business growth.
Focus on the management and delivery of client engagements, as well as sales and practice development.
Specialised Technical Capabilities:
Sets Strategy and Drives Delivery Excellence for Technology Risk Solutions:
Ability to lead client through end-to-end design and delivery of forward looking, holistic, and business-aligned Technology Risk solutions
· Owns end-to-end delivery of enterprise-level technology and Technology risk programs, including requirements, supporting strategies and architectures, and appropriately manages and mitigates risks across the program
· Understanding the interlinks between the sub-offerings at a technical level in order to enhance market presence
· Adopts a holistic view when recommending solutions, leveraging leading practices to align technology risk solutions with business strategy and specific industry issues
· Anticipates risks, opportunities, and broader organizational implications of proposed recommendations, and proactively define mitigating solutions
· Leads stakeholders in building executive-level support and organizational buy-in to help enable and sustain the proposed programs
· Builds a brand within a chosen domain and industry and is regarded internally and externally as a subject matter expert
· Stays current on market trends and regulations, and anticipates risk / opportunities; advises client accordingly
Sets Strategy for Assurance Engagements:
Ability to design strategies for assurance engagements that optimize business impact
· Effectively defines the type of assurance engagement to be performed and aligns internal and external stakeholders accordingly.
· Applies professional judgement to control observations and deficiencies, in line with appropriate deficiency evaluation frameworks.
· Helps client translate results of assurance engagements reports into prioritized decisions to enhance the alignment between assurance process and overall client’s strategic goals.
Technical competencies:
· Translate technology risk into a boardroom conversation
· Prepare project and divisional budgets and advise on resource plans
· Lead executive-level meetings, discussions and best practices development
· Drive sales activities (RFP, orals, etc.). Demonstrate Sales and Negotiation skills.
· Board and executive level experience
· Responsible for day-to-day Operations, including People Management, Financial Management, Succession and capability build
· Expertise in field with excellent industry and business knowledge
· Strong business acumen
· Demonstrated leadership skills
· Demonstrated execution of complex projects to profitable outcomes
· Skilled in drafting and presenting client and audit proposals
· Interpret complex technology-related business challenges and ability to respond by conceiving innovative, cost optimised and holistic solutions for clients.
· Laws and regulations relevant to IT and Specialised Assurance
· Proficient in the Deloitte Audit Methodology
· Pro-active attitude towards making the business work, winning business, staff development, exceptional delivery, business development, continuous improvement
· Leader of PCAOB and SOX engagements.
· Leader of TPA engagements, including targeting Cloud providers.
· Leader of Digital Risk and Emerging Technology solutions and engagements.
· RA-wide focus and knowledge of services.
· Leads innovation initiatives and drive implementation of these across the business.
· Design and implementation of ITSA Controls Advisory solutions to enhance service delivery and grow business revenue.
· Leads skill development for selected Controls Advisory offerings, including:
o Network applications and infrastructure
o Enterprise architecture
o Data storage and management;
o ITIL Incident and Change Management
o FSI banking, card, fraud and financial crime
o Payments
o Agile / DevOps
o Cloud Technologies
o Cognitive Technologies (AI, ML, RPA etc).
Behavioural Competencies:
· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
· Able deliver multiple engagements on time and within budget
· Proven ability to make decisions and the right judgement calls in complex projects and situations
· Creates a culture of trust, ownership and accountability across teams and projects
· On the job coaching for managers and professional staff and taking accountability for multiple large engagements
· Manages large engagement / multiple engagement deadlines holistically, identifying risks and escalating
· Drives continuous improvement
· Custodian of the business, shaping offerings that we need to proactively take to the market
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
Relevant Degree, Honours, or Post Graduate Diploma.
Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM or CISSP + relevant CPD that establishes credibility and capability in the IT Risk market
Successful completion of LADC
If direct entry proven experience and any qualification
Desired qualifications:
Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM or CISSP + relevant CPD that establishes credibility and capability in the IT Risk market
Advanced degrees in Information Technology, advanced degrees in business (e.g. MBA or similar) advantageous
Experience:
12+ years relevant working experience in a client facing role; 7 of these in a management role. Business development / market making experience preferred
Proven experience in IT Audit, Third Party Assurance and/or IT Controls advisory in selected industries.
Seen as a market industry leader in IT assurance and advisory
Is able to convey IT assurance and advisory requirements at all CXO levels, (CIO, CTO, CFO, CISO and CEO)
Experience in implementing leading-edge digitized IT Audit approach and solutions.
