Deloitte A&AS is a multi-disciplinary team that consists of actuaries, mathematicians, data scientists, engineers, economists, statisticians and other specialists who provide unique insights and expertise to our clients across numerous industries. Using our diverse skill sets we create value for our clients through the development of innovative solutions using advanced analytical modelling (ML & AI), robotic process automation as well as finance, customer and marketing analytics. Our team leverages a wide range of technologies and platforms to best meet the specific needs of each of our clients. Job Description

What you will do?

We support our bright young talent with a collaborative, open culture where you have a voice and bring your great ideas to life. You’ll be exposed to a variety of Deloitte offerings and industries. You will play an integral role in bringing data-driven insights to businesses across a wide range of industries. This will involve data-centric tasks such as exploratory data analysis, data preparation, data engineering and data visualisation. Your role will also provide you with opportunity to construct a broad variety of financial and other models to inform business decisions, as well as the review and enhancement of proprietary client models in different contexts and using the technology most appropriate for the specific client need.

Qualifications

Requirements:

We encourage applications from individuals with strong academic results from a diverse range of degrees. The following attributes are most desirable:

  • ·Completing or completed Bachelor’s degree or higher in
  1. Mathematics
  2. Data Science
  3. Engineering
  4. Actuarial,
  5. Econometrics,
  6. Statistics,
  7. Computer Sciences (with mathematics basis) or STEM related degree. Strong Mathematical ability is important.
  • Experience using the suite of Microsoft Office software (Excel and Word and PowerPoint).
  • Experience using a minimum of 1 of the following technologies (SAS/R/Python/Matlab/or other programming language to highlight that you can program).
  • Experience using relevant data tools will be advantageous (PowerPivot and/or Power Query and/or SQL or similar).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience using Business Intelligence Platforms will be advantageous (Power BI/Tableau/QlikView/other similar).
  • Cloud experience would be advantageous (Azure/AWS/GCP/Other).
  • Other programming/coding skills are advantageous (e.g. Dax/VBA/Other)
