About Financial Advisory 

Our Financial Advisory specialists support clients ranging from corporate and financial investors to governments, private companies, and individuals, in the provision of independent financial advice.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for a number of operations, finance and accounting/reporting related tasks to enable the Business Unit to achieve its strategy and operational goals. 

The key expectations of the role include (but are not limited to):
1.    Management Reports including providing comments on the reasons for variances between actual and budget
•    Prepare annual financial budget/forecast and provide budget owners with approved budget  
•    Ensure timely provision of periodic financial reports for decision making 
•    Monitor expenditure and spending, and ensure they are in line with budget
•    Monitor collection and ensure agreed payment terms are complied with by the engagement team and provide a weekly report on debtors’ collection
•    Ensure that the WIP balances on ledgers are accurately reported on a weekly basis
•    Maintain a daily tracker of all revenue and pipeline opportunities for all service lines
•    Provide timely financial reports, as required, and resolve finance/accounts related matters for the Business Unit by working collaboratively with the firm’s Finance department

2.    Drive Strategy
•    Plan and work with the Business Unit Leadership to develop/review the short-, medium- and long-term strategy 
•    Monitor strategy implementation across the Unit and report progress
•    Organize periodic meetings to discuss progress report with responsibility owners
•    Follow up on action plans with unit champions and provide timely updates to Team Leads, Managers and Partners

3.    Receivables collection and preparation of marketing materials
•    Follow up on collection of receivables from clients to ensure that receivables remain as low as possible       
•    Preparation of marketing materials for adoption by the services lines within the Business Unit 

4.    Others
•    Perform other official tasks in customer relationship management, risk, and other areas as assigned by the Business Unit Leader.
 

Qualifications

•    Possess a Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (B.Sc., B.A., HND, etc.) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or any related discipline; with a minimum of a Second-Class Lower degree or its equivalent
•    Minimum of 6 years experience in a similar role

•    Have a minimum of five credits in WASSCE Ordinary Level/NECO subjects or acceptable equivalent examination, including Mathematics and English Language in one sitting only
•    Relevant certification such as ACA or ACCA is essential
•    Knowledge of SAP and/or similar applications will be an added advantage
•    Knowledge of data analytics will be an added advantage
•    Proficiency in the use of MS-office tools i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint using PowerPoint to make presentations
•    Must possess basic accounting skills, excellent communication, presentation and project management skills
•    Must be of proven integrity, giving attention to confidentiality requirements
•    Must be analytical and possess effective decision-making skills
•    Must also have the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize workloads and pay attention to detail
