    Job Description

    Main Purpose of the Role

    The main purpose of this role is to ensure that there is a healthy talent pipeline to meet business demands, as well as developing the candidate pipeline to be work ready.  This is done through the active engagement with signed and unsigned students, key stakeholders and programme development and rollout. 

    Job Requirements

    • This individual must have had extensive graduate recruitment and development experience preferably in a professional service environment
    • The individual is responsible for ensuring that there is a healthy talent pipeline to meet business demands. This is done through the active engagement with signed and unsigned students, developing and rolling out student programmes, and talent hunt activations. This includes developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.

    Talent Hunting and Hugging

    • Aligns engagements and strategies of programmes with firm targets

    • Collaborates with Regional Managers, M&E and Campus managers to identify hug/hunt initiatives

    • Takes ownership and responsibility for the identification of top talent in assurance graduates

    • Ensures that majority of their time is spent with key stakeholders in the form of relationship development. This is done in a formal and informal manner

    • Creates a presence with CA students to drive a strong brand awareness

    • Custodian of the Deloitte Ambassador programme and develops strategic objectives for this programme inline with targets and hug objectives

    • Present at all 1st year trainee Jump-In training sessions, including facilitation of content.

    • Facilitate connected conversation sessions with the 1st year trainees within their first 6 months of joining the firm.  This to be done in collaboration with HR BP’s; AGR RM’s

    • AGR assessment support

    • Preparation and facilitation of student programmes aligned to AGR strategy, Audit requirements and CA2025.

    Programme Management

    • Development of the student programme strategy inline with AGR and Audit objectives, aligned to pipelines; FUTURE OF AUDIT and CA2025
    • Ensuring that innovation and technology is incorporated into programmes
    • Developing the AGR student programme content and rollout in collaboration with Audit learning and internal firm resources
    • Performs analysis on all programmes and tracks activity, against strategy.
    • Ensure brand requirements are always adhered to
    • Ensures that Progamme templates/manual repository is in place and runs necessary training workshops where needed.
    • Focuses the broadcasting of both push and pull information internally and externally to Deloitte, though social media and internal platforms
    • Prepares and distributes quarterly programme report

    Reporting

    • Takes responsibility for the reporting of the Talent Projects aligned to AGR strategy (every 4 months)
    • Take responsibility for reporting of Social Media projects, as well concluding analysis of social media data (every 4 months)
    • Communicating findings to AGR leadership and key internal stakeholders

    Communication & Strategic relationship Management

    Play an active role in the AGR Communication Strategy, including but not limited to:

    • Talent initiative broadcasting
    • Assurance Talent attraction reporting
    • All team interactions
    • Stakeholder engagement at all levels both internally and externally
    • Responsible for all Talent project communication, this includes but not limited project briefing, communication plans and post project feedback, to AGR, project teams, brand ambassadors, and stakeholders.    
    • Responsible for flow of push and pull communication of AGR Talent projects
    • Builds healthy and professional working relationships with team management as well as all AGR team members, brand magnets and alumni
    • Visible identification with stakeholders (students; university and internal Deloitte stakeholders)
    • On Campus engagement and presence to engage and connect with students and stakeholders

    Stakeholder Management

    Deloitte Relationships:

    • Establish a trusted Business Partner relationship with key decision makers aligned to role and deliverables
    • Builds a healthy and professional working relationship with the National AGR leader
    • Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal stakeholders to leverage firm talent to student market
    • Gather clear and comprehensive understanding of the strategy and operations of Deloitte and the various regions.
    • Utilise understanding in an advisory capacity
    • Forms a strong working relationship with the AGR team to ensure that clear delivery objectives set and met aligned to pipelines and AGR objectives
    • Establishes key working relationships with but not limited to the C&I, Events, NextGen board, to ensure that projects, initiatives, and functions are rolled out effectively and align social media campaigns to said projects.
    • Establish contact with Global peers to share and leverage of global initiatives and best practise.

    External Stakeholders

    Identify, establish, and maintain a trusted business relationship with strategic external stakeholders aligned to role and deliverables

    • Ensures a healthy flow of continual communication to stakeholders, highlighting both firm and AGR news.

    Candidates (Signed and Unsigned)

    • Build and maintain solid and lasting relationships which is focused on creating engagement with the firm
    • Establishes strong relationships with student chapters and student bodies to access talent pools

    Talent Magnets

    • Build and maintain solid and lasting relationships magnets (students, trainees, and alumni)

    Operational Effectiveness

    • Fully responsible for the achievement of objectives as defined by the strategy and the operational implementation thereof
    • Assessing efficacy of Talent projects and engagements
    • Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to the recruitment process and the reporting thereof
    • Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to recruitment procedures and engagement of talent
    • Ownership of strategic and operational reporting for all AGR talent projects
    • Drive initiatives in the management team and in the organisation that contribute to long-term operation excellence
    • AGR assessment participation
    • Leading teams to effectively execute on all student programs

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Relevant degree or diploma

    Desired qualifications

    • CA(SA)

    Minimum Experience Required

    • 7 years’ experience in graduate recruitment and talent development, 3 of which must be at a managerial level (NON-CA)
