Job Description

Main Purpose of Job

  • Support the Africa Regulatory & Public Policy team in the planning and execution of RPP projects

Key Performance Area

  • Contributes to input on strategy for Service Area based on area of expertise
  • Leads implementation of strategy plans agreed by leadership of own Service Area and client Service Area/s including:
  • Development of content for identified change initiatives and drive implementation of these
  • Setting of implementation plans with team/s including timelines, actions and measures for success
  • Delegation to skilled subordinates to deliver
  • Defined communication process to leadership and team members
  • Timely and detailed reporting on status of implementation to leadership
  • Provides significant support to leadership in communication and implementation of the Firm's strategic objectives

RPP Program & Activities

  • Support the RPP Team in planning, directing, managing, and coordinating day-to-day business activities, and strategic projects
  • Executive project support: Acts on the authority of the RPP Team to oversee strategic projects
  • Conduct and compile desktop research to support RPP projects, extracting and recommending key insights of relevance to RPP and responsible business projects, including research on local and global developments pertaining to key RPP themes
  • Provide support drafting speaking notes, comment letters, and position papers relating to RPP key areas of focus
  • Coordinate and manage RPP meetings including preparation of meeting materials (agenda, briefing materials, etc.)
  • Coordinate RPP planning across Africa, including liaising with key internal regional stakeholders
  • Project manage the initiatives within the RPP program including co-ordination with key internal stakeholders (across C&I, corporate affairs, executive office, etc) and others.
  • Coordinate logistics for RPP events with external event organizers, communicating needs on behalf of the RPP Team
  • Maintain up to date lists of RPP project responsibilities
  • Provide secretarial support for the Africa Responsible Business Committee
  • Provide secretarial support for the Public Interest Council

Reporting

  • Compiling monthly, quarterly, and Ad hoc reporting on behalf of RPP team
  • Compiling RPP submissions for Exco and Board meetings
