Job Description

Main Purpose of Job

Assist the Associate Director and Senior Manager to ensure that:

  • The Firm’s Conditions of Employment, policies and procedures are up to date, relevant to the business, legally compliant and aligned with best practice at all times
  • Operating as a member of the RIL team by capturing and processing contracts and implementing financial controls to manage risk
  • Act in a specialist advisory role in respect of employee relations

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Relevant legal qualification, preferably an LLB.

Minimum Experience

  •  3 years’ working experience within the relevant function

Desired Experience

  •   Academic & practical knowledge of labour legislation, employee relations, flexible staffing solutions and the principles relating to employee conditions of employment and policies. Ability to understand the role on the delivery of the HR value chain.

Conditions of Employment, Policies & Procedures

  •  Assisting AD/SM to research, design and develop CoE, Policies & Procedures that will differentiate Deloitte in the market;
  • Assisting to prepare CoE, Policies & Procedures for approval and publication
  • Facilitate communication of new and updated CoE, Policies & Procedures to P&P & employees;
  • Assistance with maintenance of relevance of Permanent Employment Agreements

Employee Relations

  • Provides specialist advice on misconduct & incapacity cases as well as grievances/dispute resolution
  • Facilitates consistent application and interpretation of policies and procedures relating to employee relations;

 

Advisory and specialist knowledge

  • Knowledge & understanding of P&P business processes
  • Knowledge & understanding of CoE & policies & procedures (employment obligations and requirements)
  • Managing of employment agreements contents aligned with law

 

Non-Permanent Employment

  • Make changes to contracts as required, ensure that these are uploaded on Vault
  • Create & maintain contracts in accordance with documented procedures & guidelines
  • Managing benefits, and terms & conditions of non-permanent workforce
  • Assessing requests for contracts using and issuing appropriate contracts
  • Ability to reveal loopholes in the system that have resulted in non-permanent relationships not being assessed for the non-permanent workforce
