Job Description

Main Purpose of Job:

Ability to drive proposals and formulate the solution, approach and team construct required to deliver projects focused on Business of Technology Transformation.

Ability to confidently engage with clients during the pursuit process.

Ability to lead teams and deliver Business of Technology Transformation-related projects.

Ability to lead the transformation of the IT function and enable a better customer experience for the business.

Ability to strategically advise Technology Leaders on how they should shape and operate technology in their business, considering exponential change in their specific industry, technology trends and solutions as well as IT service management and governance best practices.

Ability to not only define the transformation roadmap, but also support clients in transitioning and implementing the target state.

Ability to advise clients on leading trends to increase Technology Business agility, increasing the speed and effectiveness with which an IT organisation can create insights, respond to meet business demand and achieve desired outcomes.

Technology Operating Model Design

  • Ability to help our client’s technology leaders rethink, reshape and reimagine their technology operating model into one that best enables business outcomes, shareholder value and core technology capabilities.
  • Anticipates and articulates broader organizational implications of proposed IT recommendations.
  • Advocates for the modernization of IT talent management
  • Leads a team to develop robust IT operating models an defines integration points with the broader business
  • Ways of working implementation, incl. process and governance optimization

Service Design and Service Management:  

  • Ability to assist clients with: Service and product design​, Service management assessment, strategy and approach, ITIL V4 adoption support, Technology support model design and implementation​, Service management process design and implementation, IT capability assessments and gap analysis
  • Consider technology trends (such as digitalization, DevOps, and SCRUM) and how it is changing the way we do  IT Service Management
  • Advise clients on the automation of IT processes to generate further efficiencies within the function and introduce enablement platforms such as ServiceNow
  • ​Clearly identifies and outlines key competencies needed for the organization to deliver quality service and establish a leading customer experience.

Technology Business and Financial Management: 

  • Ability to advise Technology Leaders on the governing and financial management processes required to effectively manage and administrate the IT assets and services.
  • Ability to advise clients on how to enable IT to operate like a commercial business.
  • Ability to advise CIOs, CFOs and Technology leaders on how to manage their spend intelligently and to make informed decisions about where to allocate IT labour, capital and operating expenses.
  • Ability to lead delivery teams to enhance the client’s IT financial management practices - IT Financial management diagnostics, design and implementation. 
  • Ability to identify Technology spend optimisation and IT cost reduction opportunities.

Technology Sourcing and Enablement:  

  • Ability to strategically advise clients and identify opportunities for outsourcing based on business needs.
  • Ability to drive and deliver on the transformation for our clients, throughout sourcing process: Sourcing advisory, Contract restructuring & renegotiation, Sourcing execution, Technology vendor management, Service transition
  • Advising clients on disruptive outsourcing trends and how to leverage this to gain competitive advantage, accelerate change in the organisation, gain access to scarce technology skills and capabilities, deliver IT services more effectively or reduce cost. 

Transformation Delivery:  

  • Ability to clearly define the transformation roadmap and journey for the client
  • Ability to drive the implementation of the transformation roadmap and the transition to the target state for our clients
  • Provide transformation programme office set up and delivery
  • Provide transformation programme assurance

Technical Excellence and DevOps:  

  • Ability to advise clients on leading trends to increase Technology Business agility
  • Advising client on DevOps processes, operating models and tooling.
  • Assisting clients with maturing their DevOps capability.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Degree or diploma aligned to area of specialisation
  • TOGAF (trained and understanding)
  • ITIL Foundation (trained and understanding)

Desired Qualifications:

  • BSc or BCom or BEng degree
  • TOGAF certification (preferred)
  • ITIL certification (optional)
  • COBIT certification (optional)
