Job Description

The main purpose of the job is to support the Senior Manager/Associate Director or Director in delivery of services to / at client premises on delegated engagement / project. 

Focus on the management and delivery of client engagements, as well as sales and practice development.

Develop high-performing people and teams, leading and supporting them to make an impact that matters, and setting the direction to deliver exceptional client service. 

Specialised Technical Capabilities:

Leads Sustainability Engagements:

·  Ability to increase quality of sustainability engagements by providing data-driven solutions that align with client’s strategic objectives

o  Applies quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques to measure the financial materiality of sustainability risks

o  Develops enabling tools and frameworks to increase the client’s ability to execute on the sustainability strategy

o  Uses a data-driven approach to develop / redesign sustainability governance structures and processes that enable execution and implementation of sustainability strategy

o  Takes an independent view and contributes heavily in developing and challenging the risk assessment and controls testing strategy and designing appropriate audit responses for risks

o  Proactively managers the project plan through efficient use of resources and tracking delivery of assigned tasks, guiding team members’ prioritization

o  Collaborates effectively across Deloitte functions to deliver a seamless audit that is responsive to stakeholder needs

o  Keeps in mind the engagement scope and objectives to effectively plan and conduct risk assessments and controls testing for Sustainability Assurance

o  Leverages proprietary frameworks, standards and guidelines to enhance accuracy, quality, and standardization of non-financial assurance testing for Sustainability Assurance

Forms Insight-Driven Sustainability Reporting Recommendations:

·  Ability to employ a data-driven approach when designing sustainability reports and assessing the reporting cycle

o  Leverages relevant industry frameworks (e.g. GRI) to develop sustainability reports that are targeted on client’s strategic needs and benchmarked against industry standards

o  Analyzes client’s sustainability reporting cycle (e.g., data collection, communication, response) and identifies gaps with industry leading practices

Technical competencies:

·  External assurance in accordance with appropriate auditing standards

·  Expert in field with sound industry and business knowledge

·  Demonstrated leadership skills

·  Sales skills

·  Proven ability to manage and execute projects

·  Experience in drafting and presenting client proposals

·  Excellent report writing skills

·  Good financial knowledge

·  Sound business acumen

·  Integrated Reporting

·  Performance Auditing

·  Quality Assurance Reviews (QAR)

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

Appropriate B. Degree or equivalent in the following fields:

·  Computer Science/ Information Technology

·  Mathematics/ Statistics

·  Environmental sciences

·  Engineering

·  Law

·  Commerce/Accounting/Cost/Auditing/Marketing/Economics

Professional certification from a recognised professional body relevant for professional practice in the fields outlined above.

Desired qualifications:

Postgraduate/ Masters’ qualification in a field related to fields per Minimum qualifications above.

Preferred certifications – IMRSA, Ethics Institute, Sustainability Institute, CA, CIMA or CIIA

Experience:

4 – 6 years Internal Audit experience or completion of external audit training contract with experience in business process and internal controls

Experience in

·  Designing and Managing Sustainability Engagements

·  External Reporting

·  External Assurance
