About the Division

Join the AIS Actuarial Modelling Centre (AMC) in Deloitte's leading actuarial life practice and apply your skills in modelling projects reaching beyond traditional actuarial boundaries. You will work with colleagues and clients globally, exposing you to cutting edge actuarial work. Here you will develop an impressive range of actuarial modelling skills that will multiply your career opportunities. 

Our practice has both breadth and technical depth, which is increasingly important in an ever-changing regulatory landscape. You can expect to be involved in a number of key services, ranging from deterministic and stochastic asset and liability modelling covering Solvency II, IFRS17, model rationalisation and finance transformations using various industry modelling tools and applications. All of this is underpinned by our cutting edge Actuarial Modelling Centre where were employ best practice to further develop and enhance our way of working.

Job Description

As part of the AMC practice, you will

  • Actively contribute to a wide range of actuarial modelling projects;

  • Have extensive client contact, including dealing with queries and attending meetings remotely with support;

  • Contribute to practice management, for example mentoring less experienced colleagues and involvement in developing the Actuarial Modelling Centre.

  • Build models in a wide range of computer languages

  • Have a strong programming background

Qualifications

We are looking for the best people to do the most challenging work

To qualify for the role you should have the following:

  • Knowledge of the life industry commensurate with the role being applied for;

  • The ability to apply your knowledge in practical and commercial situations;

  • A solid academic track record, ideally a degree in actuarial science with progress in actuarial exams;

  • Experience of building modelling systems, for example Prophet,  MoSes / RiskAgility, or spreadsheet-based models or a strong technical computer programming background;

  • Strong communication skills.
